2) It would throw the whole covert/overt thing out of the window as a flightsuit which belongs to the rebels would be instantly reconisable and any imp walking past would probably open fire (and vise versa for the imps). You wouldn't be able to go walking round in an item of clothing which reveals your faction but still remain covert and all enemies go sailing past you without looking twice. Being Overt whilst wearing it brings in the risk and would make you open to fire, which is how it should be.

Contrary to the imperial flightsuits, rebel flightsuits are just cobbled together and have no rebel insignia on them whatsoever, so people are not recognizable as rebel pilots because of that (in-character that is, OOC many would know from their outside SWG experience, of course).

I think it's only equipable as Overt because of 2 reasons:

1) It has stat bonuses, Rifle Speed +5 anyone?

2) It would throw the whole covert/overt thing out of the window as a flightsuit which belongs to the rebels would be instantly reconisable and any imp walking past would probably open fire (and vise versa for the imps). Just my opinion anyway.

First off, it's rifle accuracy while moving, not rifle speed, secondly, your second point holds nothing as it is right now, players can walk around in tie uniforms while covert and the orange flight suits. So why not just finish what was started. Of course the flight suits and tie flightsuits give no bonuses.
