Content???
I find there is more items/professions/things to do, in SWG than any otherMMORPG I've ever played.
Can someone please point me to one of these MMORPG's that has all this "CONTENT" that everyone keeps talkig about.

Dude...seriously, there are several benefits to Veterans from SOE offering this package at a low price point. One of the obvious ones is MORE PLAYERS! If you're a Veteran crafter with an established business this means MORE CUSTOMERS...which means MORE MONEY for you. If you're an adventurer this means MORE PEOPLE to group with. What this also means is MORE SUBSCRIPTIONS so the producers at SOE will hire MORE DEV'S to make this game MORE FUN for you the jaded veteran whiner. To tell you the truth I'd be happier if sony announced they were giving the game away. Plus this game is 2 years old, gamers arent stupid, most have heard of this game and all of it's unappealing bug's and imbalances, people arent going to shell out $84 dollars for a moderately upgraded 2 year old Star Wars game...it's called marketing and people get paid good money to do it.
Please just enjoy the game and enjoy all of the knowledge you have gained and high level equipment you've collected within the time frame that YOU chose to play and pay for this game. Let the Noob's have their $54 savings and most will quit anyway after seeing all the negativity coming from the Veteran players in this game who still shell out $15 a month for a game they pretend to hate.

So you like running around shooting rats? For me, the whole ground game doesn't interest me at all whatsoever -- grinding just doesn't belong in the Star Wars universe. I first quit in July of 2003, but came back for JTL because I loved the original X-wing and TIE Fighter games so much and wanted to relive those white-knuckle highs. Had some fun in the first few weeks, but sadly, there's nothing to do in space now,so I haven't logged into the game for months.

If all you did was run around shooting rats then you really did "miss" the content!! LOL!!
I started two months ago as a scout and STILL haven't found the time to actually progress in the scout skill trees but a level or two (though I'm down to 34 skill points left)! I've been real lucky that I've been able to play 8-10 hours a day too! I've played lots of different MMORPGs (all the way back to Meridian 59) and haven't had this much to do since Everquest first came out!
Luckily,I didn't "miss" the content and am very happy with the open-ended play SWG provides! Thanks to Sony for adding it to Station Access, I haven't logged into EQ2 in almost a month! And the World of Warcraft discs are gather dust on my desk, haven't even bothered to load it...

Oh.. I get it... you don't actually play the game, you just pay for it, so that you can come here to complain.
BTW: What MMORPG are you still playing that has all this "CONTENT" and dosent have "GRINDING"?
(sorry I don't know how to use the 'quote post' option) :-)

Click the quotebutton to quote. It's to the left of the insert smilies button.
As to your question, I don't play MMO games. The only other MMO game I've ever playedis Earth & Beyond. Played it for 6 months, and that game suffered from lack of content as well. Grinding isn't a problem, but I just hate it when you have to doit in a Star Wars game, that's all.

75k? When did this happen? these new folk got it to easy. Why back in the day we started with 500 credits a cdef pistol/survival knife and 3 melons and that was it, and all of which had to be retrieved off your corpse when you died at the hand of desert demons on the way to Wayfar. NO speeders, droids, free cloner and travels tickets. /sigh, just shows you how much things have changed since launchMessage Edited by Rebelcapt on 03-30-2005 09:29 PM
Actually, we started with 250 credits.
You only get 75k if you bought JtL before Christmas. It's also once per server, so if you delete your character you can't get it again. But almost instant shuttle isn't fair. Make the n00bs wait 10 minutes and let the vets get on instantly.
Hmmmm... They must've changed the dying thing before I joined. I came around publish 3 or 4.
