All in one pack contains:
Star Wars Galaxies
Jump to Lightspeed
RAge of the Wookies
the pack costs $30
SWG costs $20 (but im sure most people paid $30 or more for there copy)
JTL costs $20 (unless you bought itat launch $30, orplan on getting it with RotW for fr33)
Rage of the wookies will cost $24
so if we put our facts together, we can come to the conclusion: Noobs will save $54, who never played the game, and might quit after the first month, and the veterans that have been with it since start, are just getting more and more reason to quit.

Wow. You found a reason to complain from that? This is how software is. I think it's a good thing, personally. Let new people come. I don't care how much they pay as I already have paid.

As I said in a previous post:
Over the last 21 months I have invested a lot of time/ money into Star Wars Galaxies.
If I’m going to invest that much time/money into anything, I want to enjoy it with all the frills/bells/whistles that it has to offer.
I could not imagine playing SWG without JTL for the last 6 -7 months; the $24.99 was well worth it to me.
SWG has lost a significant amount of players over time due to the competitiveness of MMOPRG’s in general, some servers have been affected more than others.
If SOE has a strategy that they feel will protect their investment and “mine”, and increase the longevity of SWG, I’m all for it.

Bottom Line: WE NEED NEW PLAYERS!!!!

The bad part of MMORPGs is that they aren't pirateable... Not that I would know anything about that...
<_< >_>
Look! A monkey! /burstrun
While I agree that this isn't fair, they won't get the ADKs which are selling for around 6 million credits for a year.

75k? When did this happen? these new folk got it to easy. Why back in the day we started with 500 credits a cdef pistol/survival knife and 3 melons and that was it, and all of which had to be retrieved off your corpse when youdied at the hand of desert demons on the way to Wayfar. NO speeders, droids, free cloner and travels tickets. /sigh, just shows you how much things have changed since launch

Lol i dont care how much it cost, if you are playing it i would hope you got a job or someway of making money. If not then you are just asking to buy a game that you cant play until you get a job. Also most people leave not by the cost but by how the game runs such as
Computer- crappy, old , cant afford upgrade
Server-Laggy
Game-lacks updates sometimes, some players are jerks, some players are just afk all the time and also gets boring after awhile because of LACK OF UPDATES
Lots of my friends are leaving swg because it lacks patches and updates, such as stability updates, when ever a big war happens the server crashes and have to be restart 5 to 30 mins back or even more ,making players want to start the big war over and over until the server finally accepts the fact that there is going to be a war no matter what. Also it gets boring travelling and killing the same stuff, we need more planets for some more fun. New creatures and also some new space enemies,
Anyways the cost is no problem or shouldnt be if you have been playing this long or been playing a few months. Also everyone i know mostly go for a demo or trial before they buy the game just to make sure its worthy of its cost and name.

New players will come, play it for a month, and then leave when they find out there's no content.

Yea. Unfortunately that's why we're seeing RotW instead of actual OT planets.

Preach it brother... lol
I so remember those days, I actually loved corpse runs much better then what we have today. I hated running to POI's. It would take 20 minutes to run to a POI.

Dude...seriously, there are several benefits to Veterans from SOE offering this package at a low price point. One of the obvious ones is MORE PLAYERS! If you're a Veteran crafter with an established business this means MORE CUSTOMERS...which means MORE MONEY for you. If you're an adventurer this means MORE PEOPLE to group with. What this also means is MORE SUBSCRIPTIONS so the producers at SOE will hire MORE DEV'S to make this game MORE FUN for you the jaded veteran whiner. To tell you the truth I'd be happier if sony announced they were giving the game away. Plus this game is 2 years old, gamers arent stupid, most have heard of this game and all of it's unappealing bug's and imbalances, people arent going to shell out $84 dollars for a moderately upgraded 2 year old Star Wars game...it's called marketing and people get paid good money to do it.
Please just enjoy the game and enjoy all of the knowledge you have gained and high level equipment you've collected within the time frame that YOU chose to play and pay for this game. Let the Noob's have their $54 savings and most will quit anyway after seeing all the negativity coming from the Veteran players in this game who still shell out $15 a month for a game they pretend to hate.
