From what I read in that other thread is that your own vote doesn't count, which is still good info. I do think that the thread with the PMs from the dev sounds right, if you don't have 200 citizens then it will probably take you a while to reach the cap.

3500 experince, from 36 voters. It's clear the mayor does not give 1 vote to themselves.

We had 26 Citizens during election. And i gained 2500 XP. So it looks like the cap is at 2500 when you are 0-0-0-0.

umm lol.. you are basing from that quote that the cap is 2500? heh.. quite obvious that the mayor can't vote for himself and all other votes counted and they were(most likely) not capped

Regrettably, this is untrue. This formula is true for all the other base professions. The caps on the elite professions are completely different.

Anyone think it should be raised... why is a quenker giving off the same xp as a krayt dragon seriously gawr.

I was thinking about that the other day. The risk vs reward system is really screwed up right now. As it is right now there is zero reason to go out and fight incredibly strong creatures like krayts or nightsister elders other than for the loot that they drop (which I seem to remember the devs saying they wouldn't do) because you can get the same amount of exp for killing much easier things.


Unfortuanately, knowing how MMOG devs work, they'll probably just nerf exp so that quenkers give you 200 exp instead of 3K, and the only way to get the full 5K exp will be to kill rediculously strong creatures like krayts. Hopefully they prove me wrong though.

/agree......
of course, they'll just nerf the sav quenkers rather than raise the XP on say rancors and such.....but usually when your hunting the higher end stuff XP isn't an issue anyway for the most part.

Nope, when you've hit tier 4 all the rest are capped towards twice the exp of the tier 4 skills, i.e. if you max out one branch of merchant (40K exp for a tier 4 skill) you'll be able to store 80K merchant exp.
