Umm, either they scrapped decay idea or they never even tested it in beta b/c currently there is no "decay" of items that I can tell.
There is most certainly decay. There is even a developer post from about one week ago(by Lord_Pall, I think) that mentions that they have upped the decay rate. That being said, I've not noticed any decay on components yet, but I haven't been keeping track of all the numbers of all the components in my ships.
I do know that the ship chassis value decays with about 10% per death. I've tested it myself (and had to replace a ship because of it). Here's my short test, using good old instruments like pen and paper:
First, I wrote down the current andmax value of my X-wing (939.1/939.1).
Second, I got my trusty X-wing destroyed and repaired. The Chassis value was now 845.2/845.2.
Third, just to check that I didn't read wrong, I sent my dear X-wing to ship heaven once more and after this repair the chassis was 761/761.
I'd rather see a high decay rate on components, and no/very little decay on the actual chassis. As it is, many players will barely even afford ships due to the obscene amounts of resources needed...

Can you reverse?
How difficult is it do evade missiles?
No, I have only been able to move forward and stop.
Well, they used to be impossible to avoid, but the devs are supposed to tone down the missile AI or something, at least not making them an 100% accurate shot.

Wait I thought they said that ships can never be destroyed?

sorry if this has already been asked I just don't want to read through 10 pages of stuff
Is it the left mouse button to fire primary and right mous button to fire secondaries?
Also, do you have to keep clicking to link lasers or just hold down the fire button?
Thanks!
It fairly configurable. You can either bind each mouse button (Or any button for that matter) to fire all weapons, one weapon or a weapon group. The weapon groups are also possible to configure, which is pretty much a must on ships like the B-wing (with four lasers, two missile launchers and one counter measure launcher).
They did, and I suppose it was technically true. Since the chassis decays about 10% of the current value, it will take a long time for it to become 0. In the end, you will end up destroying the chassis yourself, since it's becomming useless.
