I'm recieving this message from JTL launchpad: "Critical files were found to be missing or corrupt. Update could not be performed. Please reinstall from your cd and try again. A list of files has been generated in your LaunchPad directory under SWG\SWG_InstallFromCD.log.." I was offered the downloaded version of JTL. It won't update itself. I need to download the game again. And when I do, launchpad gives me the above message.

Hi, this is kind of funny, hah, yes, so bear with me. I was offered the JTL Download version, and now I need to download it again, because the game, for some reason, is missing the 2 gig of program and daata I originally downloaded. Now some may say that this is the wrong forum, However, If i can't access the game, or redownload the installation, then how the F%@# am I supposed to access the beta forums, when the beta Launch Pad quits working? TELL ME THAT WHY DON'T YOU? WELL? How am I supposed to report a FATAL SYSTEM BUG, when the bug prevents you from reporting it? Hmmmm? And instead if telling me I'm in the wrong forum, give me the link to the RIGHT one?

Uhmm.. whether you have the download or not you should be able to access the beta forums if your account is flagged for beta access.

Refer to your original beta acceptance email and follow what it says to do again and you'll get to the place where you can download it again.

I don't know WHERE the beta forums ARE. I don't know how to find them, or who to ask. I played JTL once. Just once. My email reads:
(Dear xxxx,

We are pleased to welcome you into the Beta for Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed. Thank you for volunteering to help us build a stronger, more stable game.

Please read this entire e-mail carefully. It will provide all the information you need to install the beta client and how to begin your exploration.

Please remember that in order to take part in the beta program you must accept the Star Wars Galaxies(R): Jump to Lightspeed(TM) Terms of Use, License and Non-Disclosure Agreement and other terms and conditions of the beta program. You must also have an active and paid account for Star Wars Galaxies(R): An Empire Divided.

Register Beta Account Key and Download the Beta Client

Please visit our website at http://swgbetareg.station.sony.com/register.jsp to complete Beta Registration and register the account key located below. Once the key has been registered you will use the same link to Download the Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed Beta Installer.
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Once you begin the download select "Save" when prompted and choose a location to store the swgbeta.zip file. When the download is complete, open the zip file and extract the setup.exe file to your desktop or another location. Double-click the setup.exe file to install the beta patcher software.

When installation is complete, you will see an icon on your desktop named InstallJTL.exe. Double-click this icon and sign in with your Station account to launch the patcher and begin downloading the Jump to Lightspeed Beta client.

Note: The Jump to Lightspeed Beta client is approximately 1.5 MB in size. Download times may vary due to patch server load and internet connections.

When the download is complete, press Play to enter the world of Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed. Welcome to the beta program!

Sending Us Feedback

As part of your participation in our beta program, we rely on you to report bugs and give us feedback on the things you like or dislike about the game. The place for discussing these issues and receiving feedback from our developers is the beta section of our official forums: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg?category.id=beta

Using the fan club handle you created when registering, you can post information on bugs you encounter while playing, as well as provide general feedback about your impressions of Jump to Lightspeed. The beta forums can only be read by others in the beta program, so please remember that anything you post there is considered confidential and subject to the Star Wars Galaxies(R): Jump to Lightspeed(TM) Terms of Use, License and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Additionally, there are two in-game commands for sending us information about what you experience during the beta.

/bug should be used to report bugs. Bugs are gameplay features that do not work, spelling errors, and anything that just does not work as intended. Please give us as much detail about the bug as you can think of when reporting it. You can also click the bug icon on your default hotkey bar to open the bug reporting window.

Please log on to the Jump to Lightspeed forums to provide us with comments about parts of the game that work properly, but that you would like to see changed. If you discover an item that you think should have different attributes, then please post that information on the beta forum. If you think a certain encounter is too easy or too hard, then this should also be posted on the beta forum. Please post any comments you have on the beta forums to provide us with general suggestions on how to improve the game.

It is important that you distinguish between these two options, as one (/bug) is read primarily by our testing team and the other (beta forums) is read mostly by our game designers. Sending us feedback through the /bug command can delay our ability to change it.

Please remember that your participation in the beta program is subject to the Terms of Use, License and Non-Disclosure Agreement ("Agreement"). Your access in and to the beta program, including the patcher, is for your personal, non-commercial use only, in accordance with the Agreement, and any feedback you provide is confidential.

Once again, thank you for your time and effort. It is very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed Team)

I then download the client. Then I launch it and recieve the error message that asks for a cd.

Your server trade forums would probably be the best place to check.

You can change your icons in the "My Profile" link up top.

You can not use personalized icons though, only those listed.

I would say if you are going to do master DE then you May want to look at going master Artisan. With that said. you may want to get your own resourses, After all you are going to need to get them for as long as you are a DE They don't just show up on your doorstep after you make master.

It is not the strength of the jedi you feel, it is all the death you've cause to get here. You feed on it, and you grow stronger.

If you're 2/2/2/2, then you need to go find your next trainer. If you use a different conversation option with your current trainer, they should direct you to your Tier 3 trainer.

I'm baaaaaack
And it looks like I'll be going again.
