No actually the only way you play Jedi at this point is via the village quest. That quest is nerfed for me and SOE refuses to assist me. There is no choosing not to play it.
Isuppose ifone orders a cheese burger and they give you a burger without cheese that's acceptable since you have everything except the cheese?
No, its not just a game. Its a productwhere-in they aredefrauding the customer. They have made false claims through advertising of what they will deliver in their product. They have divorced themselves from supporting the customer to deliver the paid for product. Failing to deliver the paid for product (the product in this case is an on going delivery of product through the service) is fraud. Now, does this meet actionable fraud under the laws of the State of California? The Attorney General's Business Unitwill decide that.

Man that really sucks. I would keep bugging them everyday till I got my stuff fixed.

K here's a simular problem that the cs refuse to do anything with. I was attacked by the sith, they killed me and took my crystal. the old man came gave me a second crystal, the same two sith attacked again. I killed them. I looted the datadisk and it gave me the message "You cannot make sense of the data on this disk." I tried all the backpack tricks, waited though two sytem resets, and logged in an out several times. still no reading it so I destroyed it. It was been 2 days, system resets, tons of logs and shuttles. No visits. Then a friend told me to check my crystal log (duh) and it says the sith shadow ambush in the completion area. So it appears that the game thinks I have completed that portion. But I have no wp to the sith camp to get the waypoint to the village and access to the village. So basically I am up a creek. CS answered with there is nothing we can do keep waiting. This bug is well documented, they know it exists and still I am out of luck. Anyone have any ideas (positive ones pls)?
It almost seems that there is a built in lotto where a certain amount of people will not have a chance at jedi. If the company knows of a bug and refuses to address issues that prevent game play for those affected by it then you have to wonder if it is a bug at all?

If you still had the spawn camp there is a simple way to have this work for you. Get a healthy looking creature already tamed and place him in your group. Use tab to target one of the sith and tell your bot to attack. Once he attacks one each will attack and since your in a group you will most likely be attacked if your close enough. It helped me on a few lairs, should have kept those waypoints dude =(

K I made a 3rd cs ticket and asked if they owuld have someone pass this on a bit higher to look at. They did and within minutes of getting email from them the sith attacked and this time the disk worked fine. I have just arrived at the Village but took a break to take time and let everyone know they did respond and dealt with the problem. Thanks!

Indeed that's the same problem I had but in a different way!
SOE didn't think I was worth having as a customer.They never did help me.
Interesting, Ijust now noticed that SOE is modifiying my posts in the tech forum by deleting that portion of my post that referrs dissatified players to the California Attorney General Business unit. Which if SOE doesn't help you, you can file a complaint with. I won't bother to list the link again becuase they will just delete it again. But, its an easy find just search California, Attorney, General, Business, Complaint.
Good luck with your problem. Maybe they will actually fix it someday. No longer overly relevant to me as I have cancelled my subscription.

SOE cant help you with a borked mission... Well it must be your fault the game doesn't work right. You shouldn't have listened to a CSR. You know if you get a PC and it breaks, the manufacture will repair it or give you a new one. If you buy a car and it breaks, they fix it... However here in SWG if the game doesn't work right, you cant even get a mission respawned. You would think that its costing SOE millions of dollars to simply do right by you because a fault on their end.
I had a friend that didn't get his banner gift after doing the missions. NO you can't have the banner, yeah its our fault and you earned it, but we can't give it to you. ITS A VIRTUAL BANNER, it has no RL value. I swear I think the CS department thinks of the paying customers as the enemy.
CSR's sure some of us want our own planet, but we aren't trying to get one over on you. There really are problems with the game, why wont you help us? What is the purpose of CS in this game if not to help us? More and more it seems like CS is just a firewall for the DEV's. LOL (out of frustration) we just want some help. /sigh

Hi, this is kind of funny, hah, yes, so bear with me. I was offered the JTL Download version, and now I need to download it again, because the game, for some reason, is missing the 2 gig of program and daata I originally downloaded. Now some may say that this is the wrong forum, However, If i can't access the game, or redownload the installation, then how the F%@# am I supposed to access the beta forums, when the beta Launch Pad quits working? TELL ME THAT WHY DON'T YOU? WELL? How am I supposed to report a FATAL SYSTEM BUG, when the bug prevents you from reporting it? Hmmmm? And instead if telling me I'm in the wrong forum, give me the link to the RIGHT one?

Hmm, you could try going to the knowlege base and submiting a question to the devs. But somehow I doubt that would help knowing the devs.
