Keep us posted on that, mattygb. This would be surprising if that fixed it since, remind you, both PCs here have the same graphic card and same driver and only one is having the issue.
I wrote to the technical support... not even one question was answered. Instead, they gave me links that showed me all hardware which is compatible to swg. I wonder why they did that since I mentioned the hardware specs in my mail already. I guess they didn't read properly. So instead I wrote back that they should have noticed that my PC has all compatible hardware and all my questions were ignored.
Crashyn, yeah, I also noticed that aiming on the targeting reticule usually won't result in hitting the ship, I usually have to aim between the reticule and the enemy ship in order to hit, what's up with that? Is that only affected by our issue or is everyone having that. Anyways, I believe the CSR gave you that advice because he thought your damage output might be too low to really damage another ship.

Something is going wrong, I don't know what it is. I've gone from having normal, tolerable jumpiness in cities and no lag in space to enemies warping in space and practically being unable to move in cities on the ground. I don't need to fly this badly - if I need to uninstall JTL to be able to interact normally in the ground game, so be it. Something needs to be fixed, I've tuned my comp every way imaginible to fix this issue and it still persists.

Landorin, the drunken bee for me is rare but it does happen. But yes to hit the ships I have to aim about halfway between it and the target lead reticle and on some just a tad off center of that up or down. My main problem is when any of the NPC's "Talk smack" to me, I get a quick freezeup of less than a second and the ship then warps about 50% of the screen ahead of where it was before the freeze. It is so predictable that I can just about time it now to where it is becoming a non issue just an annoyance. It also happens when it seems I have a missile lock and try to fire one but get the message "you have not acquired the target" or whatever it says....then another freeze. Also, more than once, I have emptied an entire capacitor on a ship with no damage to it at all. I guess I will be stuck on the first mission of tier 3 until they decide to do something or I can compensate/exploit the lock up issue.

I can't even get into space now, I get runtime errors before reaching Tyrena (where my ship is parked)
/sigh
I give up...I'm tired of trying to figure this crap out, let me know when it's fixed and I'll consider trying to fly again.

Omg... guess what the 2nd reply from swgsupport was about... now they want verification of my account... although it is a *technical* problem. And why didn't they say that in their first response I wonder... if they continue trying to get around reading my problem I'm gonna complain on the phone about that employee... this simply can't be true. Until then I'll do them the favor and let them investigate my data instead of investigating the issue I described.

My days without warping ships were short. This morning I logged in with my yacht and they were all dancing again.

Okay, guys, I discovered something new again. As you might remember, I'm having two PCs here, one affected by this issue and one being totally normal.
What I did today was, besides recording videos from within the game (to show people what this issue looks like, have to compress the video first, though), taking a duty mission and attacking enemy ships while the PC which is not affected was on /follow right after me.
When the enemies started to become drunken bees suddenly I couldn't believe my eyes:
on the PC that was reacting normally it weren't the enemies who were drunken and sliding around - it was ME (the ship played on the affected PC). I was jumping around like a tabletop ball!
That got me to the theory that it might not be the enemies jumping around but US jumping around when this happens.
There are several facts that would confirm my theory:
1) when flying in a ship someone else own's and flies (devastator for example) and you sit in a turret (and technically the other person or his ship moves you around, no you yourself, you just sit there and shoot, that might make a big difference from a technial point of view) the issue does not occur.
2) Other people do not see enemies being drunken when you see them drunken.
3) Instead, other people see YOU being drunken.
I know, in the end this does not solve the problem... but it creates a totally new point of view that should be considered when trying to find the cause of this problem (hello devs
).
I also asked GarVa to sticky this thread since it's a very serious issue many people are having and we are experiencing new discoveries all the time that might help the devs in finding a solution a lot faster.
Thoughts/ideas on this latest discovery?

yeah, as mentioned by someone before, don't remember if it was this forum or not, but it appears that it's very similar to when the bikes used to rubberband a while ago...this issue was not actually the bike rubberbanding, even though it seemed like it, it was actually us...this issue didn't happen to everyone either, so whatever they did to fix that, should be fairly similar to fixing this issue...it's just a matter of them getting off their butts and doing it
btw, space was working for me a few minutes ago with very minimal rubberbanding, I was actually able to kill 2 ships, but I had to land to do something, when I went back into space, the rubberbanding issue was back...this was kinda wierd, so I did a texture reload in-game and the rubberbanding got worse...dunno if this helps any, but figured it's worth a try, heh...ttyla...

I recorded a short video to show the devs (and anyone else) what we are talking about:
http://home.arcor.de/Landorin/drunken_bees.wmv (size: 6 MB)
In the first part you see how the ship flys the drunken bee style until it races past me (to my latest theory I believe it is the player jumping around, not the npc ship, see previous page).
In the second part it's the same thing but now the ship even seems to jump. Also, at the end you see how the engine sets to 0 and I warp around.
What you don't see is how you aim on an npc ship and it jumps forward or backward but I guess that isn't hard to imagine.
Did the video work for you guys? I hope so, it was my first attempt on encoding video files.

The funny thing about this bug for me is that I never once experienced it in beta and I got into beta early on even. But it's driving me nuts in live. Just FWIW, I've both read posts by some people here on the forums as well as had someone ingame/inguild tell me that uninstalling SP2 if using WinXP solves this.....I did so, and while for some reason it seems slightly less evident, I can shoot down that theorized solution, because it's still doing it with me post-uninstall. I plan on logging some time on Test Center tonight, start out as a novice pilot again and spend some time in Corellia sector seeing if this has indeed been lessened or fixed and if not I plan on spending time testing it off and on on TC and posting about it in the bug threads as much as possible, because this is truly a game-breaking situation if there ever was one. I don't think I'm the best pilot marksman out there by any means but I consider myselfpretty darn good at this stuff, having played at least every major space combat game ever put out on the PC from the Star Wars niche to Wing Commander to Freespace, and I'm suddenly reduced to feeling likea retarded space monkey flying one of theseships.
