Twitch you say, hmm *dusts off joystick* that is great, i hope they do something fro faction ships specific to the faction, ie a you must be declared to use this craft attachment to the attributes. So when an imperial descides to fly in his tie interceptor he is in danger of rebel attack, however if the same player buys an unmarked z-95 head hunter he is ok. Same thing with the rebels. In repect to crafters, they really have no buisiness developing faction craft, unless of course they are part of that faction. Maybe a schematic reward for crafters from a new factional quest. Also i hope they follow the sw universe and give the rebel ships shields and the imps none. But in return make the ties more agile and faster. Also i hope they don't stick us with one ship, i would love to be able to own my yt1300 and an xwing for pvp.
Ways to enhance ships:
1. individual parts, ship firepower depends on ship components, ie give each profession something that they can contribute. Maybe make the weapons require blaster power handlers or some new object which can in turn if a player has enough tissue be upgraded. or maybe an enhanced shielding layer can be built by armorsmiths that give the craft extra protection. A droid engineer could build a tech robot specifically designed to repair the ship in combat, archects cna make player hangers which allow for the storage of ships in space allowing players to have more than the datapad can hold. Smugglers, can modify speed and firepower y installing smuggler built or smuggler aquired parts.
2. Systems, these can be aquired tghrough quest and used like a schematic in a factory, say you just can't seem to shake that sob on your tail so you use a radar scrambler skill that you learned from a datapad. maybe only allow a p[layer 3 skills per craft, to limit power of players.
3. Crafters and non combatants. The ability to "hire" npc protection in the form of otehr ships. This could also work for faction players, maybe allowing faction rank to play a part, such as e1-5 get 1, officers 2 major and up 3, and m,ake the things varyining skill levels.
4. VOICE SUPPORT, how hard would it be to implement a hailing system into the ships and alow voive group chat. it is a must because of the nature of the game, i don't want to get my tail blown off by the guy im trying to get off me becuase i had to type four letters to my wingmate.
5. Jedi shuold have some ability to use the force in space, maybe in the form of a counter measure or enhanced targeting, (luke and teh torpedo anyone)
6. Capitol ships mannable by players, im not talking the big ones but maybe ones like a corvette or dreadnought, there aren't enough players on any server to man an imperial stardestroyer
