max CH Xp for any one kill is 2000. Don't know if you'd get it there but that is max. You can use Graul Maulers against Thugs in Aurillia and get that each time, only way I know.

You can buff at 90% of the power of a master doc with doc x44x, and you need x24x to be able to buff and have med use 90. Dont expect too much of your buffs if you drop down to x24x, though. Generally, people consider x44x the lowest level to start buffing.

I've come to a point where I really need to decide on a few things and I'm at a loss. Normally I have my template fleshed or almost fleshed out in my head, but I'm having a hard deciding on a few things.

Right now this is how it looks

Master Entertainer

1042 Pistoleer

0404 Marksman

3040 Dancer

1010 Musician

2020 Medic

I'm going to master Pistoleer as part of my primary means of income (working on mastering Privateer Pilot for the other part) and I want to keep ME. Here's where I'm running into a dilemia and have to make a choice. I can master either Dance or Music but at the expense of the other. Dropping Medic is no big deal, I have it for pretty much temporary purposes. Dropping some ranged support is also no big deal as well, it's only there to help me get to MP. Is mastering dance and getting 3000 Musician better than going 4040 in dance and music? I really would love to master danceand still be able to provide some music mind enhancements, but isbeing able to do a 50% music buff worth it?

I came up with this as a possible template

Master Entertainer

Master Pistoleer

MasterDancer

3000 Musician

This drops medic and ranged support to go this route. Otherwise, I end up going with what I thought Ioriginally intendedto do (ME, MP, 4040 D/M, with ranged support 3). Any advice or comments on it? I'm really stuck here on this.

Edit: For some reason I had to post it all hosed up and edit it to fix, had something hosed up keeping it from posting correctly, lol /blush

First question: Which do you enjoy more, Dancer or Musician? Have you ever Mastered either?

(Personally, I would remove all thoughts of "buffing power" from the picture and focus on your enjoyment of the game. You'll find more income with combat than with a 50% buff.)

To be honest, I like both music and dance although I tend to lean more towards dancing (depending on whom I'm with). This is my second entertainer, the first dropping musician due to buffbots invading Bestine, and would be the first time I've mastered Dance or Music. I dance when performing with certain people and play music with others (although it is 75/25 at any given moment).

As for buffing, I'm not planning on doing it for income. It's going to be pretty much for the hunting group and my friends.

Most of my enjoyment comes from talking, hunting, flying and RPing with friends. It's gotten to the point where I've ignored talking to customers and focused more on interacting with my friends, partly because I'm not getting tipped for my time or services and the general rude treatment from the public.

I'd say it depends entirely on what you want out the game, and from the sounds of it you have a similar outlook to me.

If you ever think you'll want to join an RP band or anything similar, take both sets of techniques. If you don't care for the extra songs and instruments then the master dances are nice, and the ability to buff your friends is a nice bonus.

Personally I'm taking Master Dancer, Master Swordsman, and then as much of musician as I can fit, but I RP as a dancer so......

Your template is extremely similar to Fuschia's, only exchange dancer for ID. She's a master pistoleer/master ID/master entertainer, and I kept novice medic because frankly, you're fairly vulnerable as a pistoleer and it comes in handy.

As for music vs. dance- DON'T make the buffing thing an issue. Just do what you have FUN with!

After doing a lot of contemplating about it, I'm going to stick with my original plan of going ME, MP, 4040 D/M. As much as I would like to master dance, it hurts my fun playing music. I was thinking too much about other people enjoying what I can offer more than what I enjoy doing. I think my friends will be more than satisfied having 75% buffs from me andknowing that I will still go out of my way to help them. It's in my nature, I like to help people.

Thank you all so much for you advice and input. It has really helped put things into perpesctive and helped me realize that I should do what I want to do.

Yeah, in contemplating my new toon, I really wanted to Master Musician for the buffing. But, I knew I didn't have the skill points to Master both Entertainer and Musician, but I really wanted the mandovial. Who knows what the future holds, but for now I've basically decided to go with Master Entertainer. In the end, it all comes down to what people above have said, not to base it on buffing. Should things change with the afk situation, I might rethink the situation. But, now, it's just foolish to even consider buffing when choosing a template. It's incredibly broken because of the bots. So, I told myself it's better to pick what I would enjoy better, than what will leave me frustrated because of the bots. I mean, mastering Musician to buff guildmates and friends, while somewhat fulfilling, still leaves me with no means of income and hours of standing around in the Cantina getting depressed because everyone runs right by me to the bots. So, yeah, don't let buffing factor into it.

But, that brings up two points:

1. Most of us really do want to help others, but we really can't because we're not allowed to.

2. It shows in part how many of us who know the situation decide it's not worth doing certain things like Mastering because our biggest Master perk is unusable.

All because of the bots. I can only imagine how many would-be entertainers end up giving it all up when they find out the truth.
