Not sure about the black sun ones, never really flew as a privateer. I think that's the ones with the odd "Rxxyrryrrixy" names.

The two passanger ships are the Y-wing and the TIE aggressor. Both have turrets for a second player.

The space sectors are one for each planet in the ground game + deep space and Kessel, which both are PVP zones.

Deep space holds the only Star Destroyer in JTL though.

B-Wing. Y-Wings are Tier 2 ships, A-Wing is a Tier 4. X-Wing is a Tier 3. You'll want a Tier 5 (Master class)ship (B-Wing fighter or Nova multi-passenger) for PvP and high-end PvE. The Z-95, btw is a Tier 1 ship. Don't get hung up on looks - you'll learn early-on that the thing to get hung-up on is survivability.

I wouldn't recommend the B-wing for PVP at all. It turns like an oil-tanker. I'd rather recommend the X-wing. Multipassenger ships aren't very good for PVP either.

The problem with the B-wing is that it's sluggish, and you'll have a hard time finding the correct balance between the components you mount to it. It has four laser slots and two missile slots, so you'll either run out of mass or reactor power.

Roger that. Looks like I'll be testing a lot of loadouts in the X and B over the weekend. 8) The saving grace is that my crafting station is on my yacht - great views while I toil.

Were you by any chance using old, looted components?

New Tier 5 components probably have a mass value that's higher than 10k.

Nope, I started the beta late I didn'tget any of the lower mass items. The tier 5 disrupters I looted yesterday only have a mass of 2.5k. my shields are also tier 4 with mass of 1.5k the rest of my ship is made from Tier 3 to 4 items.I have a tier 2 reactor that generates 11kof energy but only has 75 hitpointsthat was a wicked loot from a black sun guy out of endor. my defenses suck but when it comes to attack it's all there.

Tier 5 stuff has a cert level of 9 or 10.

I believe both ships look alike from the inside. Someone had shots of the turret view in another thread here, but it's somewhat of a dissapointment since it's always in third person, never in first person.
