lol I was just coming here to ask the same question. Although I'm fairly new to the DE profession (picked it up with an alt because my guild didnt have one) so I was wondering what was fair pricing for all of the DE stuff.
Has a price list or something been posted here before that we can go by?

for pre-publish 8 droids, go to www.undeadfish.com and then tweak the prices according to your particular servers economic status

My dumb rule is : count how many ressources needed to build the full droid.
If it'as a small and simple droid, multiply by 5, otherwise, multiply by 10.
I'll try to make a better rule when I'll have the time and ressources.

i wanted to share my pricing system and ask if i charge too low prices for clothing..
this is all for single clothes sold in vendors or on custom orders..
first i cound all ressource units the piece of clothing needs..
as there is no experimentation and the quality of the ressources doesn't matter at all, i asume each unit of ressource costs me 3cpu
so i have a production cost of (amount of ressources needed)*3
for example: Casual Shirt needs 20 Fiberplast 20 Inert Petrochemical = 40units *3 = 120cr production cost
then i take it times three again.. this gives me a benefit of 200% and keeps my prices fair.. well at least thats what i think..
back to my example: 120cr production costs *3 = 360cr final price for a casual shirt..
sounds pretty fair, doesn't it?
of course i add something if there are factory made components needed..
the problem i (or not me but other tailors with my prices) have now is that for example for a grand ball gown i charge 5000cr..
as i said i am fine with my prices.. i made enough benefit..
as a tailor i have no expenses at all.. except maintenance
now. WHAT DO YOU THINK?? should i raise my prices? should be hard though as i have my boutique running with these prices since january.. but still..
you can run around through coronet for a couple hours with your master tailor you don't even get one tell for clothing.. tailors business is not good last days.. we need to change something somehow..

Not even one tell? ouch I'll sorry. I normally get swarmed with my MasterTailor on in places such as that.
I just love it when someone asks "Can you uh make clothing?" then I say "Yep sure can" ..........end of conversation. lol

I am a novice BE and am really enjoying the profession. My only real question is about pricing. I have seen some posts regarding pricing of certain items, but as a novice I can't make most of those items now anyways. I am not sure how I should price any of the items so that I make a profitbut at the same time am notgoing too price to high. I would appreciate any help on the pricing of any sort of BE items, especially pets. Thank you for the help =)

Pet's are tricky but at your level CLx2 should do fine. When you start getting tricky orders etc. then you'll raise that up especially for stuff requiring risk to life and limb.
Tissues are generally cpu based same as all crafting proffessions. Best bet is to check out the trade forums for ideas and speak to chefs and tailors, plus other BE's on your server. Prices seem to vary a lot.
Stim formula seems to be powerxuses/10 by general consensus.

CL 11-12 are only usable by CH, so your market and consequently price is going to be much lower. At novice BE, you cant make anything really usable by CHs anyway; CL10 petsare going to be yourbread and butter.
As with most crafting profs, you have to invest a good deal of grinding to get to the pointwhere you can make marketable items. Fortunately, unlike AS or WS, you dont have to MASTER before you can start selling =) I'd suggest running missions for money to buy grinding meat and flora till you have at least 2 boxes in experiment and can make the gurrcat skin (at 2000 i think?). You'll probably do even better to grind up tissues till you can make broad-spectrum nutrients and then grind using those, but if money is tightyou can leave that for later.
Once you're there, you can go sampling (assuming your sampling is high enough) and make some non-CH pets that you can probly sell for a decent price. I find, personally, its best to let the market decide, and go to Coronet and search for all players, send a polite tell to every non-master-elite player asking if they want a decent non-CH pet at a reasonable price, then auction off what you have. Doing this, I sold one of my pets I was asking 50k for for 95k =)

Hrm i have different price brackets depending on the level/how it was made. Most of my low level creatures are cloned down to retain the light armour so are more expensive than any high level creature i make.
CL 16 are 180k
CL 22/23 are 120k
CL 35 are 80k
CL 45 are 60k
Sets ofthree low 22/23 ish, or 2 x 35's tend to be my best sellers, occasional 16 for low end CH with money, 45+ dont sell well for me at all

actually i do get tells..
"are you still making clothes?" - "yes, sure" - silence.. end of conversation
"do you make custom orders?" - "yes, i do" - silence.. end of conversation
"can you make me xxx?" where xxx is some looted stuff - "sorry no, thats loot only"
and of course
"can you teach mefield wear x?"
but this thread is not about tells, but about tailoring in general.. what happened in the past few months?
i don't think many customers care about prices.. i mean a full outfit costs likethe share of onemission reward in a group or even less if you solo something..

Well, just so you know Songe, my prices are way above yours. I charge 8k to 10k for master products and a minimum of 800 for artisan type things. Why? Because I don't have to work as hard to restock my vendor every time I log on. I get a chance to enjoy my game time a little more. Although, lately I have been super busy even with the higher prices. I have noticed that people, in general, won't shop around for clothes and they don't care about cost that much since you can do one mission and make enough for a complete shopping spree. The other most important thing I have learned in the last 2 months as tailor is, if you keep your vendor stocked and someone buys something off you, imediately restock that item. Once you sell to someone, they tend to come back to you for everything from then on. Customer's for life...... Also, if you make complete suits and put them into backpacks with good descriptions it makes it easier for lazy people to get new clothes. I find that these "ready to wear" clothing packs are my best sellers. I NEVER have any on my vendor for more than a few hours. Just make sure you have a good description of the item and allow them to sell if back if they don't like it. Sorry, just got carried away on my typing there.....I'll shut up now hehe
