Strength and Quickness determine how many points are taken away from their respective pools per hit (or per special). Constitution and Stamina are the regen.
So when I have strength and quickness enhanced, I take very little damage from flamethrowers etc.
I agree that the top issue there is not the regen rate,it's stacking damage onto your action/str costs. In those cases being able to do less damage to yourself with the Str & Quick buffs can make all the difference in the world to my being able to get in an heal you before you go down as compared to having to heal you after you go down and losing those precious seconds in a fight.
Then again my usual philosophy on that is better safe than sorry anyways (which is why I only use E stims, too.)
also, to make your secondary HAM pool high in case you have a 2nd set of uber layered armor sliced for resists that won't fit you unless you have high secondary ham stats
secondary stats, second level (strength, quickness and focus) all effect how hard you get hit for in your HAM bars. They ALSO effect ham costs.
For example....as a TKM my unarmedhit3 with VK on costs me 202 ham evenly across my ham bars.
With full doc buffs on and a muan gold it runs me 24 mind points. Thats it, 24.
This makes a HUGE difference to me as I am a zabrak so muon gold give me an insane willpower level.
Also, if im taking damage (which mostly only happens to my health and action bar) then its like having one bar reserved for ham costs and the other 2 to absorb damage.
It depends on the profession, etc. to really qualify weather or not those ham are worth buffing. And besides that the devs didnt stick in strength and quickness for nothing ![]()
I spent a month mass-producing crates of all six buff types in my factories (with PA support), so my guild members always get buffed before we do anything. At first I tried living without strength and quickness buffs, but now I do them all the time because they keep people alive, especially in PvP.
The less HAM points you spend doing things like specials, the more damage you can take. A lack of quickness and strength accelerates the speed at which your health and action are reduced in combat.
I have a secondary character on another server who plays as an entertainer with an organised PA band. The doctor in that PA buffs Quickness on the entertainers, not Stamina. A Quickness buff gives a neater result because it reduces the cost of flourishes to 0-3 action points, so the entertainers' action bars stay full of green without visibly regenerating. It's alsomore attractive during a performance, instead ofhaving "-30" above the entertainer's head. So on my main server, I mass-produced Quickness buffs more than anything else, and started buffing the bands and dancers at server events.
You will wake up from an incapacitated alot sooner. Usualy around 20 seconds max if you got a good D buff.

What he said.
Also you don't always regen faster than you use.
If you are BH with pistoleer and you are using fastest weapon, you DEFINATELY use up your HAM much faster than you can regen.
Even with full Enhanced D on all 6, you need some food and entertainer buff or you'll kill youself in about 5 min flat.
