I resent that! I have helped and been helped several timesby people in these forums.
These are constructive forums and should be used as such. The people who get(and give) flames are the people who cry "unfair" or cry for nerfs, and are generally just nasty people.

Hehe, I agree...usually you'll get great answers about things that you wanna ask. With a topic like this, it is a perfectly legit question, as there really isn't an answer stickied anywhere pertaining to range extending cyberarms. If, on the other hand, you decided to ask when the FRS comes back on or you want to know the difference between enhancer force armor 2 and innate armor........I might have to kill you =PJK!! Alot of things pertaining to everything jedi-skill wise are stickied to the top, as well as quite a few guides out there discussing each discipline as well. Also stuff in the issues/bugs section can give a clue as to what disciplines are bugged now as well as skills that aren't working as intended. Anyways, don't be shy in these forums......you just gotta get used to all the L337 boys out there that just ruin this forum =P
Sorry if I offended anyone but you have to admit there is a lot of flaming on these boards. I find it hard to find any valuable information that isn't stickied. While I've been in the game for over a year, I have only been a jedi since 3 days after the CU. Being called a n00b doesn't bother me.

... and no you cant drop your normal elite skills for jedi
jedi are a seperate class of elite points. you can't take your other profession and respec into jedi.
I'd recommend either using the respec to setup your padawan for BH PVP or saving it for when the FRS goes live.
if respec is there, use it, but no you cant use non jedi boxes for jedi stuff, i would get nov boxes first, for a good force pool, then get 2000 healer, then maybe 0044 LS for spin attacks and saber throws, then 4000 healer. at that point, you should be able to handle most BHs without fear. then figure out your temp and grind away. theres alot of respec jedis out there, and alot of prepub 9 jedis. i promise 99% of the pre pub 9 jedis would have used the respec if it was available back then. i know 1 guy out of maybe 120 who is refusing to use respec. great respect to him. thats something to be proud of, but being a respec jedi is nothing to be ashamed of. and with just the one token respec available to you, i dont really think you would qualify as a respec jedi anyways.

I also am not a respec Jedi....(but i did make use of the feral wookiees to finish the last few boxes of my template....infact, I started doing this 2nd day of CU, before most jedi even knew about the feral wookiees)
