Here's my favorite stories from Beta.

I started off by created a female Twi'lek. My main character on Naritus is a male Twi'lek Master Bounty Hunter, so I wanted to stick with the Twi'lek theme, but do something a little different. And thus the genesis of Raano's Cute Little Sister was born, though under a different name. You'll see her within a few months on Naritus, once her big brother can get a tip for where she can be found.

After getting the hang of the fighter controls, I acquired a Dunelizard fighter from a helpful shipwright, and a lovely pink shirt and pink striped pants from a very helpful Ithorian Master Tailor. I'll never forget launching into space aboard the "Pretty in Pink" on my first mission for Talon Kaarde.

I hyperspaced into the Lok System, and was promptly jumped by for bombers and the target vessel. I hit the boosters, slid around and spent the next five or six minutes in a swirling five on one fangs-out knife fight. My shields would take a couple of hits, I'd boost away, roll around and try to take out one of the other attackers. Somehow I came through mostly unscathed, but with a big, idiotic grin on my face. THIS is what Star Wars has always been about to me. Role-playing a character, then blowing stuff up.

I'll see some of you denizens of Naritus in a few days. Don't look for the Pretty in Pink though. Look for the Overt TIE something-or-other named Wild Ride.

Nothing bets swerving in my TIE as three scummy X-Wings try to dive "down" (no down in space!!!) on me. As I lower my speed and hang a U-eee straight into the X-Wings. A few shots later and I'm tasting Rebel on Ice!

Great fun with the mouse. I hooked up my joystick, but my stick is a bit old, doesn't do the game justice. Targeting system took some getting used to. Discovered that I'll never become a Shipwright (too many pieces to a ship!!!!). Can't wait to cruise in a SoroSubb with my Guild!!!!

My favorite story comes from way back when we were given master level ships for the weekend to test PvP.

I had just gotten into the space zone with the Star Destroyer, and I was marvelling at the size. So I decided I was going to see exactly how close the Devs got when determining the scale of the ISD. So I piloted my TIE Aggressor and parked myself snugly in the fighter bay of the Star Destroyer. AndI fit perfectly. I was stoked ...

... and about that exact time, another tester in an X-Wing started take pot shots at the Star Destoyer. So I waited for the right moment, and when he flew underneath the fighter bay, I kicked the throttle and boostered onto his tail. About ten shots later he was dead.

A few seconds later, I got a tell..."Where the hell did YOU come from!?"

I responded: "I was scrambled to defend the Star Destroyer from your attack, Rebel scum."

That was fun.

I was on a routine patrol in the naboo sector, when I got a distress call from a fellow imp piloting his luxury yacht. Seems for some odd reason He was overt......SO I jumped to tat and saw 3player x wings aggroing him. I hit my throttle and boosters, and targeted the first one took 7 shots he was dead. I tried t target the other 2, seems they were on ts so they were alertedof my presense andcame behind me and "tried" to take me out (bad move for them) I breaked, knowing they werent paying attention they flew past, I kicked throttle and took them both out in a matter of seconds....

I like JTL, one Question though DEV's, is it possible you can implement that mission system on the planets itself??

i love the fact that when you kill your mission another pops up and you travel straight to it, theirs no traveling all the way back for a new mission. that could really improve missions on the planets themselfs. maybe even calm down some jedi grinders.

My story isn't the coolest, but I found the missions to be extremely fun despite being considered repetitive.

I love the escort missions. You get into space, rendezvous with the transport and escort it to its destination. Along the way, you get to fend off attackers. You get too far away from your transport, and the pilot starts complaining. After that transport is away, you can rendezvous with another one and escort it. Occassionally, you'll get stray NPC's that decide to take a shot at your transport, which can make these missions more difficult. In addition, some friendly NPC's will sometimes come to your aid. I liked that aspect of the ground game, and it is more prevalent in space.

I once ran an escort mission at Tatooine. On the third transport, the Black Sun pilots were complimented by some Commerce Raiders that just happened to be in the area. I was having a hard time fending them all off when we just happened to fly by some TIEs that were in the area and happened to be angry at the Commerce Raiders. A complex battle ensued and in the end I managed to get the transport off to safety.

Also, the ability to swap components in and out of the ship so that you can customize your ship for speed, damage, protection, or whatever is really cool. While some of the upper end ships will dominate, the lower end ships do have some advantages (maneuverability being one) that makes them viable at higher levels. Everyone won't necessarily be flying the high end ships at all times. I tended to customize my ships for decent speed, highest available sheilds, high end weapons, and low armor. When I crafted stuff, I concentrated on keeping mass low, damage high, etc. I might just take up crafting because I enjoyed making ships so much.
