This is crazy. I know its been said about 20 times, but you can't just make new content without fixing the old first, if you could even call this content. If you build up a game on content thats broken its just going to compile until there'snothing left but bugs and people complaining about bugs. I complain about bugs, but not because I like to complain. I complain in hopes that something will be done to fix them. I'm not even talking about professions and things like that, because anyone could complain that a profession is broken just to better improve themselves. I'm talking about skill tapes, beserker rifle, and things of that nature. I'm a pvp'er and roleplayer. I've been playing the game since a month after release and I've never mastered an elite profession. NONE. I switched from rebel to imperial with my guild in hopes that others would do the same to maybe give this game a more star wars feel. But adding emotes that have nothing to do with star wars and leaving out the key ones just counteracts anything anyone does to make this game like starwars. Maybe if we all complain enough, the devs will just snap and destroy the game and ban everyone. LOL. Anyways lets get some more star wars content, such as a story arc with some bug fixes. Later all, and I am prepared for the flames from the emote lovers.
There are 5 others that they have not shown us yet so the cool "move along" might be in you never know

My post wasn't aimed at you only... It's aimed at everyone wearing full stun-composite, buffs and template.
This type of people are, if you didn't know, WAY over-abundant, and also incredibly annoying to listen to on theforums.
The only reason I believe you about you actually roleplaying, is because of the ST-suit you say you have...
Got two of those on Chimaera and one on Lowca - crappy, but still good-looking.
I just get P.O'ed every time I hear a templater whining - Like the people who wanted Carbineer nerfed a mere day after it was fixed.
Problem is, after listening to that kind of people for 1 year, you end up not being able to tell the difference between them and honest players.
I hate afk'ers with a passion, because they are a bane for all the good lower-level non-elite-combatcontent in the game.
I agree with you Jes..I also HATE afk'ers they dont derserve their jedi slots..and lets face it most of the current jedi population just set up a macro and walked away..way to earn your stripes guys..but on another topic I myself am template stacker..why you ask?? because it's the ONLY way to survive in pvp right now..do I like wasting points stacking skill mods?? no I dont, but I do like to pvp it's a shame that you have to stack 3 or 4 diff prof's to make one useable profession that's my MAJOR complaint each profession should be able to stand on it's own but lets face it only 3 can TKM,Fencer, and Jedi everyone else is on the back burner this could have easily been time better spent elsewhere.

The devs that make the emotes there not the same ones working on JTL, the emotes are done by the art people. Also for all we know they could have been in the game for ages but have put them in now. The way you people are talking you would think that emotes is all we a re getting in JTL and it took them 6 months to make them useing all the devs in the game? plztell me thati am wrong.

Thing is, I don't give a crap about JtL at all. I could do without it, not much opportunity for RP in space, anyways. What I can't do without is the ground being fixed.
So ya, I really don't know why people think this expansion will save the game. It's just going to add more things to go wrong without fixing the original problems.
Someone said something about some people working on the emotes and not the rest of the game. I'm sure they could be put to better use. And the fact that the emotes are Un-Star Warsy just makes me have less confidence in the devs to do something right.
The main point here is that they need to get their priorities straight. (And I think it has been put in as plain English as that already in this thread.)

Know what the problem is? The problem is thattoo many people do not roleplay in this game, either people are afraid of it or they feel it's just 'not for them'. I doubt the Devs roleplay either, so it goes towards: Let's see how much fun we can have and who cares if it's unstarwarsy?
Which basically sucks.
All I do is roleplay and I am lucky enough to find a few people that do as well. But I can't help but feel like I'm the underdog in this game, especially when seeing something as simple as these stupid emotes that have no need to be in the game. If they're going to have 20 goofy emotes (wherein only 4 may be alright for rp'ing)... then there should be double that amount of emotes for a StarWarsy feel.
I hate this crap, and I hate that I'm going to have to see a bunch of idiots running around doing them. It'd be alright if I could just stay in my circle, but no, this game requires that we must play with and work with one another. Unfortunately, some of those others are morons and *ahem* so f'ing l337.
Granted, Bill and Ted do rock - but.. I'm sorry, this isn't Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.. though it is starting to become a Bogus Journey.

And actually, myndonos... Alucard is right. Thumbs down meant 'let him live' and thumbs up meant 'kill him' - the movie was fictional, watch the history channel or something. They'll even tell you how the movie showed it wrong, just that it wouldn't make sense in our society today because.. thumbs up is a good thing.
Even though I'm sure some people would give a thumbs up to nerfing some of the devs.

Actually, most scholars think that there was no "thumbs up" at all and that the sign for "kill him" was a "thumbs sideways" (I'm not kidding).
But still, kudos to anyone who knows enough about history to care. hehehe

Why can you not role-play in space? Also why dose everyone have to role-play some people do not like to do that. Now if a musician wanted to role-play then the airguitar would be perfect for them.
So what if a few emotes have nothing to do with star wars (this game by the way is based on star wars and is not star wars the films) why get so angry everyone has to be kept happy not just the role-players.

I never said everyone has to roleplay. The devs do have to accomodate as many play-styles as possible though.
Roleplaying in space could only complement roleplay on the ground; I don't see any entirely space-based RP as having much potential for deepness. Someone could probably find a way, I suppose. I have come across some very creative RPers in my time in this game.
The reason I want it to be like Star Wars: It's called Star Wars. That is basically the only reason I play this game, as hinted at in my first post; MMO isn't my favorite genre, but it is very fun, and a good theme is what will draw me in. If this were some creation of the devs', I wouldn't mind if they used more freedom in their game features. But people already have an idea of Star Wars in their minds, and the devs have no right to ignore that.
There is plenty in this game for non-RPers. What do we have? Only what we make for ourselves. Not the way it should be.

How do you know /loser is not starwarsy if you say you only want waht you see in the movies the game would get old quickly. I bet you there are people who are rude in starwars so they would have something like a loser sign . I'm a starwars geek and darn it you guy are making me look bad would you people lighten up, this is a game if you not having fun then don't play the game it's that simple thank you
