There will be an entirely new way of obtaining the Shipwright profession. It will not be a starter or elite profession as we know it. It will also be different from obtaining Politician (via Apprentice Points). Take your best guess on how they are going to implement that one, hehe.

Where did you hear that I have heard that wil will be a regualr started calss with no prerequesitis.

it was said by the soe staff somewhere i read that it isnt exactly a starter, and it isnt exactly an elite... its like a new type... /shrug...

oh found it...

"Jump to Lightspeed features three unique piloting professions which are outside of the regular Star Wars Galaxies skill points. You must go on story-driven missions to advance within them. A fourth new profession, the Shipwright, is a new type of novice profession that won't be a starting' profession.Look for more details on the Shipwright profession as the saga of the Jump to Lightspeed develops over the summer of 2004!"

this is off the page for the jtl site under profesions which can be found at: http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/expansions_professions.jsp

Damn you Marike!!!!!!

And that sentence seems to contradict itself.
What I know for sure is that it wont be a branch off artisan.

Last I read up all the new classes will need skill poits and will mirror the polition class in that you need ap to enter the class. I hope this is wrong though as I hate droping the stuff just to make the ships let alone droping more to fly them.

Thank you

I'm a Master Doctor that's working on Rifleman, with M/Medic, Marksman 4/0/0/0, Artisan 0/0/0/3 and Scout 0/0/1/0. My question is can I drop the Rifle scection and Marksman to free up skill points with out suffering any loss in Rifleman? At present, I have 2 skill points left, but need 25 to complete Master Rifleman.

You cannot drop skills that your other skills are dependent on!

So, you cannot drop Rifles if you want to be a Rifleman, or Medic if you want to be a Doctor.

You will have to choose what is most important to you.

unfortunately rifleman is based on marksmen 4000 so you can not give up any marksmen skills at this point if you wish to remain a rifleman. you can otoh drop scout and artisan to gain the points you need to master rifleman. if you do not want to give up scout or artisan you can dabble in rifle for pve using a 4124 format or you can dabble in doc for pvp as a 4030 doc.

Yea, it looks like I will just give up artisan and have to start buying my resources, (might even be cheaper then running my own harvestors). Thanks for all the help!
