I am looking for a simpler way to call out my droids besides going to the inventory... can anyone help?

You can try putting them on one of your quickbars, but that only works for a single stack of items such that you'll have to reset it to the next one once you run out, same should work for the droids too.

I'm a Master Droid Engineer in the process of crafting several hundred droids at once to stock my vendors and i was curious what kinds of droids Entertainers actually want.
I was thinking of 2 models
An adv R3 with all 6 effects.
An adv R3 with 4 effects and 2 playback modules.
Does this sound sensible?
What exactly are playback modules? - It's tricky selling something when you don't even know what it does properly.
If these 2 droid types sound good which are the best 4 effects to have in the second droid?
Thanks for any help.

Muscians can use playback modules to store songs. The droid can then play them back while the musician plays to add a bit more depth to the band. I saw one getting used for the first time last night... a probot with combo of playback and effects and it was definitely impressive. Seeing it floating in the air with all the lights coming off of it reminded me of a disco ball.

Theres a thread somewhere that explains the playback modules... But the basics of it is that a musician can record a track on the droid. It doesn't actually record the flourishes, just the instrument and song the musician plays. Each module can hold one instrument/song at a time, and only one module can be active at a time. Having two is handy so you don't have to keep switching songs in and out. When a module is playing back it's track, the droid acts just like a band member. They only flourish with band flourishes.
It can also be noted that a musician does not need the skill to play the instrument/song on the droid. One popular thing to do is get a droid and have someone more skilled record the drums for various low level songs.
I'd recommend you throw in a storage module in some of your droids. For effects, foam and dancing jawa are the most popular. Of the others, it's really personal taste. I usually leave off mind bloom or electric fog on my droids, and try to get Avians. Confetti is the one I use the least.
The probot in question was sort of a droid of all trades. Not sure if it would be a popular configuration, but it has 1 playback, 1 effects (Dancing Jawa), storage, WDG crafting station (Never know when it might come in handy) and a harvesting module. (Hey, I'm a tailor, anything that can get me more hides is a Good Thing!)

Being able to have only droid pet out at a time is a problem for musicians. To help remedy this problem, having droids that have 6 record/playback modules is a godsend. I highly recommend making these.
If you want to provide more variety as well, I would recommend also having droids that haveall six effects modules. Having droids that have three of each would be good as well, but could be semi-problematic seeing as it limits the effects module choices. You would have to learn which three effects are most popular and learn from the number sales that are completed. Or possible have a poll asking everyone to list their favorite effects modules in order from favorite to least favorite.
My list, if you are wondering would be this:
Foam
Dancing Jawas
Mind Flare
Electric Fog
Confetti
Avian

You also might want to check out thepublic citycantinas on your server, and ask around to see what people there want, since they're your customers. Talking to them first is also a form of advertising... if somebody sounds interested you can send them a mailing when you're done with your production run and let them know youhave your vendors stocked. Not to mention, I think the majority of ATK entertainers are probably socialites and would be more than happy to discuss the subject with you... right down to getting the right colors to match thier wardrobes... lol

I also recommend making the playback droid have 6 tracks. I own two droids like this (as well as a third, 3 tracks, in an LE repair droid). Even my FX droid has one playback track, which I had to have custom built.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I have to agree that if you're going to do two types, thena dedicated effects droid and a dedicated playback would be the best. Pure dancers (like me) have no use for playback tracks, but musicians could really use up all six, since their choice of music is often dictated by the least experianced member of their group. The more songs their droid can playback the more flexable and useful it is for them.

You may want to make a few to give away or cheaply sell to someone so that they then can show it off and send Entertainers your way.

On Bria I have a droid with 6 playback, and one with 5 effects and 1 playback. When I use the 6 playback droid I really miss having effects. However, only 1 playback can be a bit cumbersome having to change recordings so often. My preference tends to lie in the middle.
However, I can live with just one, hence the reason that probot only had 1 playback. It had a bunch of other stuff to make up for it.

Ok thanks for the help everyone.
I've decided to actually make 3 models.
adv R3 - 6 playback modules
adv R3 - all effects
adv R3 - 3 effects, 2 playback and item storage.
People can still make custom orders obviously but i think these three should keep most entertainers happy based on your responses.
Thanks again.

You might want to do one with 5 effects and 1 storage for dancers. They need the storage most, typically carrying around several changes of clothes.
