well, as both a Master DE and a Master Doctor, here is what i suggest
an Advanced R3 Unit
level 6 medical modual, This gives you 110% to healing power
level 6 item storage modual, stores 10 items
Level 6 Data Modual, only useful if you craft your own stuff and you make sure to get the schematics out of the factory before putting in a new one so you can reuse the same one. I do that and store them in my R3. works great, if you dont craft, or make a new schematic every time, then its not so great.
Food and Chem Crafting Station, only good if you either craft in the feild, or dont own a 40% or better crafting station. From the Best that DE's can tell with quite a bit of testing, Droids crafting stations are right around the 40% mark as far as quality.
Merchant Modual, I would suggest putting this in there, and putting your adds for your buffs in it. Something easy and nice like mine. "Master Doctor Oriz Buffing as Starport. 2300+ 10K"
Stim A modual, Its not the most useful, but if your like me and have the line of ppl your gonna buff group with you, if one of them has some HAM damage, they can /request a stimpack to heal them and not bother you.
Just my reccomendation thou

and as far as droid prices, its hard to say really. DE's dont really charge based on resources used, that R3 i described before would use a total of 2K resources, if that. DE's really charge for time, since each droid has alot of subparts, and those subparts have subparts, and some of them have artisan subparts. So it take a while to build them. If your on naritus i would build you that R3 i described above for 40K. it will be diffrent from DE to DE and from Server to Server.

Has anyone had trouble finding jedi? When i use the bh droids the waypoint is always in a city right by the starport and when i use another droid i keep getting the same wp... am i doing something wrong or are the droids just broken?

This happens to everybody.
Funny story actually, one time it brought me to a starport on Yavin 4 and event though my target wasn't there, another jedi was.
He ask if i was there for him and i said no, but i almost grabbed his mission (i saw it on the termials but passed it for another). We had a no DB duel anyway, and i got my ace rocked but it was fun anyway.

Open your galactic map, the first button on the bottom rigth hand part of the screen. Click vendors and scroll for what you want. Chances are the vendor says BH DROIDS or something to that effect..

Try Dyna. She is near Kaadara (about 500-800m East of the city along the coast). I think she also has a shop near Bestine. Another good vendor of late has been Cuatro4. He's in Virtutis Civitas on Naboo. He used to have a shop near Theed but it is gone now. You can also go out near Mos Eisley and find Yolanda's shop. I can get the coords as soon as I login (I forgot them

are you using /tellpet, I haven't had good luck with tellpet getting it to follow somone else. I just train it with the follow target command then say that and it does it.

No, not using tellpet. I tried selecting a target and then using the radial menu of the droid but, if I recall correctly, when I select the radial menu, the target was changed to the droid, therefore I don't think the droid knows who to target. I know I'm missing something, but what?

Ahhh, what you are seeing on the radial menu is commands that you can train your droid to do, they don't acctualy make it do anything but learn the new command. There are default strings for commands like "follow_me" or "group" but I usually change them to 1 or 2 characters. What you do is pick a command through the radial menu then say the word or letter you want him to respond on.
