Why are people making a big deal out of the stim-less healing?

Seriously. Why? Why does are people using up time and energy complaining about something so utterly pointless as this, when you could be doing something much more constructive like testing the changes of medic. We haven't even started testing Doctor yet, and already people say that Doctor will be pointless, etc. etc.

Give it a rest, please. I see absolutely no reason to complain about this healing system, to be perfectly honest. I sincerely think that some people are just looking for *anything* to complain about.

In short, because "stim-less healing", as you put it, is representative of a fundamental shift in the philosophy of this game, from equipment-based progressionto avatar skill-based progression.

I wrote a somewhat more detailed analysis of why I find this to be a problem here, and would be thrilled if you'd attempt to address the concerns I've raised.

Well, I read that. I think some points are interesting, but you are assuming too much. We do not know the usefulness/less of enhancers at this point, and we don't know if there will be any other modifying foods/spices/etc. for our skills.

I'm not trying to argue so much against that, I see what your point is and makes sense, in general. I do not understand, however, the players who complain that it's not Star Wars-like to not have stims, yet these are the same players who want to continue solo'ing krayts or running around with squads of 19 other jedi.

Honestly, I'm tired of people assuming everything. I'm sick and tired of Doctors proclaiming "Tihs is teh sux0rz!" before we have even gotten a test going on Doctor. I'm tired of people complaining when they know little details. I'm tired of people complaining about crafting, when we don't know what the enhancing packs will require (and so far all med components require same resources as found in the current system).

Artisan experimentation. As a general rule, anything listed in a profession tree will use that professions experimentation line. Hope that helps

I'd imagine people are upset because before doctors needed materials, which supported the economy a bit by allowing doctors to supply doctors.

With the new "magic" healing system, (or psionic healing, if we're using our minds now), doctors aren't dependent upon anyone for their healing.

The thing is, the main point of this update was to make it MORE like Star Wars. But in Star Wars you don't see doctors using "magic", they use stim packs. The stim pack system was fine as it was and it made it more fun.

Crafting being moved sucks.
Doctors not being able to craft for other doctors sucks.
The devs releasing the resource kits so we could buy avian for millions, then shifting avianso it won'tbe worth what we paid for it, (which it won't be), sucks.
Having doctor reduced by 2/3, (crafting and buffing), so that all we are now is healers...sucks.

There are people who don't like the CU ALREADY. There are people who are upset about the changesALREADY.You make statements which sound like ifwe just jump in and help them complete their masterpiece, we'll suddenly be happy with what the game has become...

Its okay to be upset, it's okay to talk about being upset, and most of the time we can spot by the title of the thread whether it's negative or positive...

If you're so tired of people who don't see these changes through your eyes, then avoid their posts...

Oh, and Luke was healed by a BACTA TANK in STAR WARS, not through a magical waving of the hands. So to not have components, (like stims), is not Star Wars-like. It's EQ-like.

Why, its simple, I played EQ, Since 1999 when it first came out. I quit EQ becouse I was a cleric, a high lvl cleric in a big time guild, was lvl 60 with535 AA points and there no where else to go.Guess what, I healedEXACTLY the same as every other freaking cleric in my guild.I was onesmall part of a huge machine it it didn't matter if I was their or not.I was not irreapsable as I am in SWG.People seak out those who take pride in their medical abilities fordoing hungehunts becouse they make stimpacks that will heal formassive amounts of damage, like myArea Effect Stimpack C's that have a AE heal range of46m, fora base heal of 1210 with myCM mutiable I usealy completaly heal the entire group where as the otherCM in traininguseing his med packs, I usealy end up running around rezzing thefallen becouse he dosen't take as much pride inhis products. If you like the"magiacl based healing" I suggest you goto EQ, become a cleric, you will fit in perfectly. I quit becouse I hated "magical healing", I like standing out, and taking pride in what I made. This is WHY I hate stimless healing.
