2. When was the last time you updated all of your drivers? About 2 weeks ago
3. How old is your system? Had my machine now for about 20 months
4. If applicable what is the make and model of your system? Dell Dimension 8100, slightly customized, sound card was a factory install, but I paid more for a better one.
5. Have you changed anything... anything on your system recently? not from a hardware perspective no.
6. What other problems do you experince outside SW:G if any. No problems outside SWG, and only the space game is an issue, ground game is fine
7. Does your computer get very hot while you play? not that I had noticed, I will check this
8. What OS are you running? Windows XP Pro
Ok now we are getting somewhere...
If you could find out what model graphics card you are using that would be very helpfull, the amount of ram is not realy a big tip off (unless it is your video ram that is bad and you would know that right away beleve me)
When you say slightly customised would that be a voided waranty? That is, if it is even under waranty, if it is I would contact Dell you may have defective hardware on your hands.
Let me also say that bad ram is still looking like a culprit, my next recomendation would be to back up and perform a clean OS install with brand new drivers... if your system has been up for 20 months it likely has a few hitchhikers.
Do you run Spybot: Search & Destroy or Ad-Aware, is your virus scan up to date?
What if any firewall do you use have you tried setting up port forwarding for SW:G or disableing it (for testing purposes) while you play?
Is this an automatic falure, (the crash) has it always been or has it become more and more common as time passes?

doc 4000 or 2002
Those two options require a different number of skill points. What else will you be giving up to go from 4000 to 2002?

as a pvp doc i know that you'll do much better with 4000 then 2002. even if they cost the same sp you'd still be better off.
those buffs wont make enough difference in a fight that some foods couldnt make up for. it may be more expensive but the4 sp you save could always be put into FS melee/ranged defence/speed/accuracy
