Well seems these people either arent reading the threads while "telling" us how many disks they have. Are the kuats the only way to get the disks. Please respond from those that are doing the RE not I heard from a brothers friends friend type.

For those of us not in a guild we actually have to buy all the RE parts to find the disk

Ok my JTL copy is still onw..... so having said that, how can you identify a looted item is "RE" possible?

It does NOT have to be kuat parts, any part has a chance of dropping them and thats any level as well. I've gotten discs from lvl 1 parts, lvl 3, and level 5 so far. Only the lvl 1 was a kuat part.

I have fragments 4,6,8 on gorath.

For those of us not in a guild? You're still in SYN right?

Anyways, I have a hunch (and anyone who can prove me wrong, please do so) that the disks come from a certain level of each part. Seeing how there's 8 total disks and 8 types of parts, sounds sneaky sneaky. But since I've been having 16 hour days on as a shipwright, I can't remember which parts gave me the disks I have.

Whenever you examine a part, at the bottom it says Reverse Engineering Level: X.

I don't know if it's just me but I think this command is useless. Privateer and Rebel get IFF confuse and EMP tricks. We get bstrike and nebula blast. Yeah I love bstrike, but nebula blast... never have used it once because I never find myself in a nebula dogfighting. Unless this is somehow broken where I can detonate it anywhere and do damage, I think this is a piece of crap and I'd like something like a "Scramble Reactor" where it shuts down the reactor of your target for 5-10seconds.
