I had a chance toman the turret while my friend piloted, and I must say it is quite the ship.

IMO, it handles better than the firespray as well. And with 3 guns it takes out targets much quicker too. I love it.

Meh, hate to have my fate dictated by others.
But I'm thinking you guys have sold me. Pretty sure I know what I"m doing this weekend now.
Thanks for the feedback!

Ya that thing is bad. I thought it would handel like the rih but the rolls seem to turn faster and the inertia is wayyyyyyy less in turning and slowing down. I think the stats say its the same but it feels a lot better.
*hate the stupid wing guns, so far apart. once something rolls and pulls to either side of me i can only hit it with middle gun. grrrr*

Its a Rhix with better handling, 20k more mass and an optional turret slot, whats not to love?
I cant wait to get my hands on one, Im pretty sure the Krayt and the Dunelizard will be all that I fly once I hit Master.

The Krayt is amazing. I've been running tier 4 duty missions because I've been short on cash after buying my Krayt and my YT. Using 3 guns and only weapon and reactor overload programs, I can take out 4 tier 4s from a duty mission in under a minute. Doing the Black Sun capture mission, I take out two on the first pass and can swing around fast enough to take out the other two before they get out of range. I'm not even using all my mass either
If I'm flying with others I literally have tohold back onmy fire so I don't blow things up instead of disabling them. It's a VERY worthy master ship for Privateers. I don't see anyone that tries it redeeding it unless absolutely necessary. I'll miss my Dune but don't see it coming back into my lineup unless the Devs up our ship slots to 4. Also, note that all of this is coming from a person who favors speed and agility over damage. I never saw myself breaking up my Kihraxz/Dunelizard combo. The Krayt is just that good in my mind.

Anyone had a chance to take her out for a good run yet?
Still haven't gotten around to mastering my freelancer pilot, and am curious if I'm wanting to pick up a Krayt before a YT once I do.

Heard experiences of many that have. It handles better than the Rihk, I'm told.

THIS SHIP IS AWESOME.
Nothing short of awesome.
I got mine last night, loaded it up with L7 blaster, and two L8 loot drop guns, and tossed another L7 on the turret nobody's using yet (will change that gun out if i acutally get a gunner )
Ran a teir 4 duty mission against black suns. Using all teir 3 overloads, i tear tore through those mobs like a wet paper bag. Normaly i disable ships because it takes them out of the fight faster.. i had no need to do that at all.
The cockpit view is awesome, as you can acutally see where your shots are going, (unlike the Rhyxyirk whos cockpit frame takes up half your crosshair)
Handling wise, theres no comparing it to the Rhyxirk. I felt little to no slide or slop at all. It handles like a mediocre fighter. This is not a bad remark. Its handling is not like a dunelizard, (but not far from it if i put in a good YPR engine ) but its infinatley better then the Rhyxirk. Given its mass and weapons payload.. it handles AWESOME.
THe only downside is the weapon spread on the wings. Its a minor annoyince, but as so far, ive found it can bennfit you. Of course i used to be an alliance ace pilot so im used to dealing with this, so it didnt really bother me.
S'cuse me while i deed up the "brick", i dont think ill be using it ever again.

I now have dune, yt and a kryat deeded. for the most part love the kryat.
Like to hear more responses from those who have manned the turret. I have had one gunner in mine so far, but haven't found anyone to let me try it in theirs. My gunner was a bit frustrated that he could not hit the same target I, the pilot, was shooting, due probably to the height of the gun mount and the curvature of the hull. Just as I would pitch up enough to hit a target, that target would fall just below where he could shoot.
I'm still 'wobbling' around a bit on turns, but I am guessing more time with it will get me used to it's handling specifics.
All-in all...yay!
