Just curious, but how many kills are people making before looting one of these helmets?


I've killed so many of these guys it isn't even funny.


I started killing them on my Imp Ace (static spawn) then created a Reb Ace so I can do missions (Reb guy @ Nym's) and kill more of them faster.


To guestimate how many I've killed on the reb I have 5 million credits currently on my space credit chip. I get 250-500 creds / kill, so let's say 400 to make it easy. Also assume that 90% of the 5 mill are from Black Sun (it's actually a lot more than that) with the remaining 10% being from other stuff.


(5,000,000 x 0.9) / 400 = 11,250 ... and this is a very conservative estimate.


How can I be sounlucky???


I've been hearing the drop rate is 1:1,000 or 1:2,000, but as you can see, I'm currently at around 0:11,250... and climbing.


I have but one thing to say and it's: "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!"

The answer is anywhere from first wave of BSun ships ever, to months of daily chain grinding on them and getting *nothing.*


Me, it took about 10 tier 4 duty missions, up to the 4th command wave to get.

I've been killing Black Suns for months now and haven't gotten any helmet. Guess I'm just unlucky.

I worked for 2 months to get my first, then got two more within 7 days, then got my fourth a few weeks later. It's loot, it's random, and your chances are no better on your forst Black Sun than on your 1millionth.

My experience with trying to find the Black Sun Ace Helm has been most PA -THE -TIC.


I'm well over 8mil pilot prestige and 75% of that hascome from killing tier 4 and 5 black suns.

Lets put it this way.

I've played JTL since launch, done all 9 pilot tracks. Could run from theed starport to the back of the palace and from Lok starport to the back of lok hotel in my sleep.

I have accumulated MILLIONS in pilot presitge on BS ships.

I have looted only 1 helmet... ever.

I grind students on the duty missions and got one after 3 weeks of taking 2-3 missions a day.



You cant nerf me any more I already have a CL 90 Jedi and Commando.
