just wondering will people be able to fly in the planet zones, and engauge in combat over the land and in space? would also be cool to do strafing runs of bandit camps with rockets lol. guess it would be fun to fly a Y-Wing like a reaver in Planetside.

SRY, no, then Krayts, Ancient Rancs, Giant Dune Kimo's could be killed in one rn, would ruin the game's econemy......

Rumor has it that atomshperic flight is something that they want to eventually incorperate, however fighting ground targets other then certain things seems unlikely if they do.

They want to implement it while figuring out a way to eliminate the grief factor too.

Well they could do it so if you go to low you have to land and you can not attack targets on the ground, now that would be cool.

What would be wrong with attacking targets on the ground?

it would drasticly screw up the game's economy cause you would be able to kill high level mobs at great ease while they cant attack you so people wil have the most rare items on the bazaar if you get what i mean

do you mean that items like krayt tissuesnot costing a billion credits would screw up the economy? Funny, because I thought the economy was screwed up because of all the inflation. Anyway, the amount of these items up for sale is not limited by players' ability to kill the mobs, it is only limited by the abundance of the spawns, so allowing people to kill krayts and nightsisters from the sky wouldn't make the game any easier. Plus, you'd have to land to get your loot, and then you'd have to worry about getting ambushed by tusken raiders or other nightsisters (assuming the game was designed right by that point)

cause you would be able to kill high level mobs at great ease

So, basically, what you're saying is, nothing would change.

Why not give them anti-aircraft weapons? Oh, wait, did you mean animals? Why should animals be the hardest mobs in the game? Why should they be hard to kill at all? Hell, why should fighting with stupid little (or big) critters be in the game at all?

Atomospearic flight will be in game sometime after the combat balance or the second coming of Christ...which ever comes first. Also look for increased content and helpful CSRs.
