Thread: Pre-order at EB Store, no discs

I just got home from my local EB where my friend and I pre-ordered JTL. Unfortunately, they didn't have any beta discs in yet. What my question is, is there anyway for us to confirm with Sony that we've pre-ordered so we can get our Speeders? That was one of our main reasons for pre-ordering at all.

I agree with you. I pre-ordered my game on gamestop on 10/16. I noticed on their site that they had removed the information about pre-order beta disks and the speeder and yet when I looked on SWG's pre-order site here: http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/jtlpreorder/preorder.jsp it says
"Pre-order Jump to Lightspeed now and Jump into beta plust get your own in-game vehicle!"
and also
"With your Pre-order you will recieve priority access into the beta program"
at the very bottom it says
"You must join the beta program by 11:59 PST on October 22, 2004."
Then at the bottom it has links to gameshop and ebgames.
It is now 10/20 and I have yet to recieve anything and if I look at gameshop tracking order area it does not show anything was shipped out. So what I am wondering is even though gamestop no longer shows the pre-order bonues does that mean we should still get them because Sony's site (as mentioned in the quotes) still shows that we should be getting this? Can anyone from Sony answer this please?

Ebgames and Gamestop have removed all mention of the speeder or beta from there sites.
I would venture to say they have run out of said items, now some people are coming back from EB and gamestop saying they are waiting to get them?
Maybe they are making more disks just so people can get the speeder, beta is just about over so I doubt you will see beta.

So is this game not avail in your area? I mean i just went to Gamestop lastnight and reserved my JTL at 10:30 at night. Plus they had plenty of beta disks..

Yea some stores are going to sell more then others, so some places will still have copys.

For anyone who is interested I have an update. Gamestop support told me over the phone that the deadline for pre-order package was 10/14 even though Sony's site did not list a deadline. After getting sent to five different phone numbers I finally got to Sony Support for SWG who confirmed that there was not a deadline on their site and there may be some error on Sony or gamestops part because hehad not heardof the deadlineand he said that I would need to send a brief description of the problem and any info I had to his superviser via e-mail. I am not going to post that e-mail here for obvious reasons but I did tell him that others on the Message Boards are having similar problems and he said to have them call.

The deadline for pre-order Beta is the 22nd. so even if you ordered right this second, if the store doens't have a disc, sorry. Basically if you haven't logged into beta before the 22nd your SOL.
dunno about the speed, I don't have my beta case, but it did have a date on it regarding a deadline I believe.

There is no deadline for the speeder, it says you can claim the speeder at anytime during the life of your account.

Right, but as far as I know you have to register your key prior to release. I doubt they have a "Pre-order" key and a "release" key.
I don't think they are giving the speeder out to everyone.....

the people who pre orderd wil get their speeder apearantly
how ever if you choose not to use your speeder untill after JTL launches then you will still get it

Wow, I pre-ordered jtl weeks ago at an EB store and they didn't mention anything about a beta cd. In fact, when I told the guy that worked there I wanted to pre-order jump to lightspeed he was like jump...to..what was that?

i preordered in septembers first week and i still havent gotten anything from my eb game stores....although i have heard that igets shipped out the same day as Jtl, but as long as i get my speeder i could care less about beta...just turned 18 so i could get in now i suppose...but i will leave the bug reporting to the pros seeing as this is my first ever MMORPG.
so thanks to all the experienced bug reporters and such that are currently in beta,
and, EB games, i want my speeder

I pre ordered JTL last week and was told my beta disk shipped on saturday...But was given no tracking...It came in on Tuesday so cross your fingers.
