I mean...B-wing should be S-wing. S being Suck
Bah!!! your WRONG, the B-wing is a wicked peace of equipment in able hands!!!
Proper application for this ship is flying with wingman into just about any fight, your only in real trouble if light fighters get behind you so you need lighter craft to keep them off. Its best application is in head to head fights against larger craft and capital ships when with an able fighter escort, but you can dogfight with it when at about 1/2 throttle or less and turn reasonably well.
Worst application is solo against teir 4/5 craft in large numbers or solo pvp. Yeah, if you can face them off in pvp you will win, but if you miss and they slip behind you your probably doomed.
only thing that bugs me about the bwing is according to the specs and it classification is wrong imgame! the starwars tech manual and books al have have the bwing classified as a fighter/bomber not just a bomber and it spec is very close to the xwings in speed and manueverability just slightly slower due to hevier armor and more launchers but faster and more manueverable than the ywings. it was designed to be the combination of the ywing and xwing into one fighter that can be used both as a fighter and bomber. which is why since beta i believe the devs have this fighter stats screwed up and classified wrong. then again the bwing didn't exist yet in this timeline either it wasn't built till later the battle of endor and second deathstar was the first mission the bwings ever flew in

The problem with the B-Wing is this my Nova handles better. So trying to justify that the B-Wing is a heavy ship just doesnt make sense they should have reversed the way both ships handle.
I have read this before, its simply not true. I fly both and the B handles better than the Nova. The excelleration and decelleration on the Nova are slower, and the turning is slower as well. Not to mention the profile of the Nova makes it impossible to miss where the B-wing is far smaller a target.

i dunno bout that dude, i found my nova courier handles better than my bwing. and from all the literature on the bwing, it was supposed to be one of the most dominate "fighter"/bombers in sw. a fast, manouverable heavily armoured ship with a devastating payload. its got the armour and payload but it handles its self as bout as well as rosie would near a 24 hour all u can eat buffet.
Yeah, I read that, but I know the guy that took out the squad and he let me in on what happened. When he was sent on this terrible mission he found a small mobile starport, at the time the IMP's thought they were all safe so they were in the base sipping on Brandy in celebration of the Emporer's birthday. The guy had 2 tubes loaded with an experimental "space bombs", he quickly approached the base, locked on and released a barrage of these bombs and blaster fire. Before a single TIE craft left the base the entire thing went up with all the TIE craft still docked. Boy, did he feel lucky that day and Ackbars little creation made him a mint!

In all the books they were in a flight squadron with smaller fighter support. You have typically(I would think)1-Bwing 2-Awings 2-Xwings and if your feeling froggy throw in a couple Y-wings for backup bomber duty. The only case i can Site were a B-wing went solo was the prototype B-wing that took out a whole squadron of Tie Fighters on its Maiden voyage. That alone would say something for its manuverability, or its shield power. Not sure of the ordinance it had on this duty mission.
