I am new to the artisan profession.
What resources (chemical/mineral etc) should I mine to provide me with useful resources to grind with. And what resources should I mine to provide me with something valuable to sell (and for how much shouldI sell it)?
Thanks for your help

Well, I personally ground through much of artisan making cdef rifles. They only require metal, so if you're interested in doing that (probably takes longer than other items, but hey, they don't ask for much :/), I'd suggest harvesting metals. As for selling, well, I don't really know. Metal again will sell I suppose, as long as you don't flood the market. And be nice and offer things for less than 3cpu, I'm getting tired of finding that (or ridiculously high prices)everywhere :/ lol

How long do resources stay in one place for. Let me explain a bit further:
If i survey and find a 93% spot for any resource, and i decide to place a harvester, how long will that 93% spawn be around for?
Or is it there forever?

I am hitting it from 650m I see it hit the asteroid, but no chunks are coming off.

Another think to note, that perticular asteroid might be "empty" they only hold so many resources, and when they get empty you have to shoot them until they blow up (takes a while with a lvl 1 minine laser), and another full one will instantly spawn in.

I am told in a mission to mine some ore. I have just finished my first mining mission. So I go to were it tells me and I find the ore and I blast a chunk and I bring it in. After that, I can't get anything. I sit there continuously blastint the big asteroid and I get nothing. I changed asteroids and get the same result. Any idea what is going on?

That post goes through all of mining. It sounds like you are not hitting the chunks enough. You hit the big one, then hit the smaller one, then hit the smaller one from that. After destroying three levels of asteroids, you then start to collect some.

How do I unload my mining cargo? I tried to talk to the space station on naboo and kashyyyk. I tried looking under "manage ship" as well.

Use the Radial menu on your ship in your Datapad and choose Unload Cargo
