Thread: one time race change

in the combat upgrade post TH mentioned that there would be a one time skill point swap allowed to players.


so why not allow us a one time race swap with jtls??


we would keep the same skills and name and everything else but we could just change our race.


I know a lot of people would like to change they're race and have worked to hard at they're character to simply delete it and start over.


like maybe after JTLS gets released in the UK(as we are the last place to get it) anyone who has jtls enabled gets the option when they log in and thats it.

doing it this way may also attract more sales for jtls from people that were'nt that interested or have quit the ground game.

Sounds like a good Idea to me. All though I dont want to change race meyself.

As a Master Doctor, seeing that these 2 new races have mental plusses, I think that a race change would be fair. I request a race change....

I'm a human at the moment but would like to swap to a sullastan or ithorian, and i have read a couple of posts arounmd the forums by folks who would want to change.

I know a few rodian players have mentioned they would like to switch

agreed, i'd like to change race to take advantage of the shipwright bonuses offered to the new races, but i dont want to have to create a new character losing all my history,name and badges etc for my existing character, surely its possible to offer as suggested above a one off chance to change race, whilst keeping everything else(items, lots, money, skills etc) in place. I mean at the end of the day its only your characters avatar thats changing.


please could one of the devs please respond to this to let us know if its possible. I really dont want to lose my work ive put into my character over the last 12months. As i intend to go shipwright upon uk launch, both for profit and for my guild. either that or can the devs open up some of the shipwright skill bonuses to otherraces ?


I also would be prepared to lose some of the original zabrak skill bonuses we gained from creating a zabrak character initially to take advantage of this.


devs please respond if you see this.

I'd like to see our second character slots be moved to a Veteran reward. Not everyone wants to be a Jedi, but you force everyone that wants their second character to become one. A majority of the people doing the Village "quest" (grind) only want to be able to have two characters on the same server without having to buy a second account. I'm also one of those who wish to have the second character more then becoming a Jedi.


If they gave the second slot out as a Vet. reward then this would be a good solution to switching races. This way you can keep your current character, plus have a new slot to do with as you please. I hope they do something like this for the Vet. reward program. Because my one year anniversary will be coming up on Nov. 20th and I'd hate for SOE to show their appreciation for my business this past year by giving me a useless painting.

I think this is a good idea but I would like to make a small addition....make it a one time race or gender change (to cover all bases). Heck, I would even paya fee like there is for moving characters from one server to another.

Actually it's not dumb. Since the two new races are the ONLY ones with bonuses to shipwright. Sooooo.... unless you delete your character and re-make there's no way for you to get those bonuses without a race change.
