OK I am really confused now.. It says you cannot create the Lux Ship because you do not have any lots.. Why would a ship take up 1 lot?????? Can we please get a fix for this??????

It takes up a lot because it's somewhat like a flying house. Anything placed by players that can hold stuff requires lots, just think of it that way.

"mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's
why so is mankind.

It takes up 1 lot because you can put 75 items on it. Only way around it would be not to claim your reward.

It's because you can store items in a multiplayer ship, and they want to limit your number of items.

Thats a crock.. So the item can hold 75 items? So can a backpack hold 50 items but that doesnt mean it should take up a lot.. Give me a break.. If it has to take a lot give us another lot.. Thats crap

I think it's pretty dumb to charge vets with this extra lot crap. If the Master multi ships do, fine. But this shouldn't.

Ugh. To get the Veteran's Reward, you have to have the expansion to use it.....now it also costs a lot! I agree...our reward yacht should not cost us a lot. I do not want it for storage, but since it is 'built-in, then it should be part of the entire 'reward'.

This was a point I made 6 months ago. You should NEVER force game Veterans to buy expansions in order to claim their rewards. Rewards should be usable no matter what expansions you have.

... well if you're not spending a lot to use this ship, the only other work around is you have a multiplayer ship that you will not be able to decorate.

Because otherwise you are saying what? That you want to be able to store stuff (ie decorate) without any balance off? Sounds like a route to ridiculous item hording to me.

And believe you me, the Yacht (as nice as it is) is a BIG ol' empty ship without decoration inside it. So.... your gonna wanna store stuff on board.

What's REALLY the issue here, is the item limit.

And you can lump that along with the complaints on Item limits on Medium houses, Large houses and PA Halls.

My feeling is that the yacht should be small house limit (150 items). Then it DEFINITELY becomes worth spending a lot on. (and gives us home decorators some leeway with how we decorate! )

==============================================================================

The 50 items in a backpack are already calculated in the alloted space that a person can carry. Storage spots in droid are accounted for by limiting the it based on construction. Other storage house/factory/ship is covered by the generic "lot". This is a theoretical unit of measure not a unit of land.

The ship is classified as a lot so that it can be integrated into the storage system.

The reason multi-player ships require a lot is because players complained that it didn't.

There was a thread on this forum quite a while ago discussing the multi-player ships, and saying that you could only have 1 decorated multi-player ship. Only allowing 1 decorated ship upset some people, who proceeded to complain a lot. They suggested that we lose a lot in order to get an MP ship, so that we could have 2 decorated MP ships.

Unfortunately, that "solution" was proposed after many pages of ranting, so not too many people were actually reading the thread, so we couldn't point out how guild leaders and crafters get screwed so that some people could have 2 decorated ships. The devs "fixed" the new problem by reducing the number of lots required by guild halls. Crafters are still screwed.
