Have any pistoleros been to the corvette yet? If so how did you do? what weapons/armor/tactics did you use?

I went once, casually, without any real intent of beating it, just to explore. We did alright except our DPS was so low that killing the 200k+ ham mobs was fruitless. As for me personally, I have full 80% composite on, buffs, brandy and powerboost and did okay until eventually my mind gave out. Damage output wise I was a joke with only energy/acid AP1 or heat/stun AP0 weapons. So I tried to land KD's, posture changes, bleeds, etc but eh. If I didn't have CM for area heals, I would have felt completely worthless.

That said I'm not a master pistoleer yet and I am looking forward to trying it again, many times, as I advance further.

Only once. Hard to say how I did, our group pickup and not well organized. Your best best bet against the ST in there is DX2. They have pretty high resists against everything else. The droids are tough too, and we don't have muchthat they have low resist to, so go with your best. Everyone should be buffed and armored, and have at least one doc healing and rezing.

I ran the the Rebel corvette mission and successfully completed the "rescue" mission, got the schematic for the new "pimp" mobile, and I found the power supply for it as well. I will say that if you go into the corvette with the idea of fighting your way through you will lose. I went with the largest group allowed (10). We were all well armed and armored. We stuck together as a group and attempted to not aggro for as long as we could. After getting the intel we needed to make our final push it still fell to one guy ( Master CM btw) to get to the end of the mission and complete the final part. We all played a part but I found it necessary to rely on my multiple skills ( I did fine as a pistoleer using my DX2 and Genosian Sonic ), my crew, and cooperation as a group.

Props must go out to my guildmate Nealio who has completed the mission multiple times now and really knows his way around the corvette.

Hehe,my PA's"Nealio" is a guy named Garrison. He's been at least a dozen times now and knows his way around there like nobody's business. I've been there twice.

DX2 is the way to go for a pistoleer in the Corvette due to the resists of the npcs up there. But everything that EcadMistflier said about being buffed/armored and working together as a group is also a must.

I'm still looking to go but from everything I hear we need a new gun before we can be worth anything there.

It is possible to beat it though pistoleers. My ingame wife (TKM) and I (Master Gunfighter) went alone and we actually beat the rescue one. The key was running like you never ran before and just go to accomplish the mission and get the 4 drops.

I always wondered if something unorthodox like that would work... good to know! Did you need FD at all?

yeah there are a bunch of noob groups doing it now on my server, kinda sucks that your not forced to kill everything. You shouldnt be able to complete it with 10 newbs or 2 masters.

I have been up ther 6 times and this is what I have learned.

1) WALK everywhere at first. It causes less agroes onto you.

2) Kill only the first level ST's you come across. This helps big time after you get DB'd and you have to run through it again with no buffs anymore because they will be gone. Do not try to kill the Higher up St's by the prisoners, armory, etc. It's a waste of time and you won't be able to finish the mission. There are some up there with over 250k HAM and you all know the trouble we have with something having only 10k HAM. lol

3) Use healthshot2 on the ones you kill because you want them dead as fast as possible. Only use it though on the first ones that you will be able to kill. Otherwise the others will never just leave you incapped, they will always DB you. I use the bodyshots on everything else after that to target one pool. I find the DX2 or geo pistol works the best as well.

4) If possible try to still be buffed on the destroy mission because when you have to go through both rooms of Super Battle Droids and they will kill anything and everything they see. (tip - If at all possible let some ST's follow you into the droid rooms. The ST's and droids will begin to fight and this will help you)

5) Try to stay together as a group or at least 2 together. Going solo or trying to be the hero only gets you a one way ticket to the cold floor.

6) Pistolmeleedefense1 (our only working KD) only works on non red con ST's. Don't waste the round of combat on any others besides them.

7) I wear energy comp armor up there at first. It helps at first but they cut through it like butter most of the time. You will get hit with 1.5k and up shots. Note though. After you get your first DB, store that armor away or it will get munched every time after you die because of the decay. Also any items you like will get munched as well. Basically don't bring anything you want to keep up there. *If it can be insured it will get trashed*

8) Don't use fanshot. It seems to go through walls and every ST gets to come to the party and use you as their target practice.

It can be fun up there but it also is very irritating too. YOU WILL die and get incapped many many many times.

Also careful with who you go up with. That new little ride needs a power core that can only be found on the corvette up there and it's a very random drop. It's only dropped once in 6 times for me, and some loser lied that he didn't get it too.

It is possible to beat it though pistoleers. My ingame wife (TKM) and I (Master Gunfighter) went alone and we actually beat the rescue one. The key was running like you never ran before and just go to accomplish the mission and get the 4 drops.

I hope this is able to help you guys. If I think of anything else I will post it too.

Yes I forgot to say that you do need food up there. Take maybe canapes, synthsteak, swirls (the green drink). Any food will help when you have to go back in after being dealt a DB.

Raptor2k1 yes I agree that it is a little unorthodox to do that, but here's why I disagree with Jpshaff01 when he said "You shouldnt be able to complete it with 10 newbs or 2 masters." Yes I would love to be able to kill all of them up there. But I think the DEV's have killing so etched into our minds that the secret is that we now need to use skill to beat it and not just brut force. Plus it's kinda fun to sneak around everywhere up there. To duck into hallways as the ST's pass. Gives you more of a Mission Impossible feel rather than a Rambo feel lol. People laugh at me up there when I do the sneaking thing but I have the last laugh as I pass their incapped or dead body to get into the room.

Thanks guys, these are the things I, and a lot of other gunslingers I think, wanted to hear. Keep 'em coming!

Also as you can see from my profile I'm on Chimaera, so any of you people on there please look me up if you're heading to the Corvette!
