what's the point of pvp if it all depends on who has the better range? i have 2.4k shields and 1k armor and in pvp they get cut through like nothing. so you've managed to make it like the "wonderful" ground pvp(first hit wins) except you die even faster! pvp should be like regular pve where tier 3 and 4 can actually withstand more than 2 hits. i don't understand why you would put such a pointless pvp system in, and worse yet make missions in the pvp area so people can grief. don't get me wrong i love how you have to go to kessel and you can get attacked by other players and such, but atleast give us a chance to fight back! it took me 3 tries to get into kesselbecause every time i went in to start my mission a player would come out of nowhere and shoot me once and i'd be dead. it literally takesless than 1/2 a second to kill someone, even if they have level 6, 7, 8 equipment.

Not really. it who has the most skill. I only level and play in the kessel and no for a fact I have been outgunned and the opponet has better shield armor etc. And my a-wing always pulls threw.

I'm getting the sneaking suspicion that it's because i'm privateer and privateer ships probably suck, although it can't be that entirely because that would not explain how fast shields and armor go. i have tested it, i'm 4 4 4 4 with the lvl 8 shields and 6 armor and a friend who's 3 3 2 2 with my old weapons i gave him when i upgraded was able to kill me in like 1 or 2 shots max. he didn't even mean to kill me, it was just before either of us realized how much damage he was actually doing it was too late.

im down with a 75% pvp damage reduction. Maybe higher.
2400 damage shield
2600-3200 damage weapons = 1 hit.
It's not about skill or evading. 1 hit 1 kills is a little too unforgiving for me.

Personaly I say keep the PVP as it is (feels more like star wars and if your good your good, of course I'm not good...but I'm working on it)
But move the master quest away from PVP.

at the moment, shield/armor vs weapons is horribly unbalanced. in my a wing, sure i can dance around the opponent, but if im dead in 2 hits...TWO... it makes it feel pointless.
my favorite game to bring up is BF1942. there, it gave crappy players a SLIGHT chance by making it take 8-12 shots to down a fighter, but of course gave the skilled ones an edge by avoiding any hits period.
to all those who respond moronically to these threads, ask yourself a question: what would be lost if 25-75% reduction in pvp took place. if your a L33t pilot, your still gonna avoid someones shots and eventually kill em. itll take you longer, but if your good, youll stay good.
in flight sim games, 2 hit wonders are not fun for long. repair, hyperspace, 2 seconds your dead, rinse, repeat. in space especially, i want dogfights that are fun and take more than a second.
also on a side note, pvp in general is still as disappointing now as it was in beta...it all devovles into spinning in tight circles, and punishes anyone who decides to change it up by manuevering with rolls and breaking the turn, etc.

yeah - and space DoTs, space comp and space krayts 
when you want to punch one ans the same person for 10 mins straight you might wanna do ground PvP.
JTL is different. Leave PvP as it is.

Please don't start begging for changes. 2 or 3 hit kills are realistic. It's nice to play a challenging realistic pvp game. If they are gonna change anything then they should change the ground combat. . .
