I loaded into the space for the first time and my ship won't stop rolling. If I hold down E it stops, but when I let go the spinning starts again. I've tried restarting, disconnecting, pressing every key... twice. Even tried running myself into a space station in desperation.
Do I have some weird setting that is making me spin nonstop?
Wookiee + constant spinning = very messy cockpit.
Help?

what kind of controller are you using... joystick? if so, recalibrate it, and then, ingame go into options > controls. give the joystick a bit more dead zone.
if it is the mouse, there may be a deadzone you can adjust in there as well, not sure as I'm not near my PC atm, so I can't check it out

Q is roll one way and E is roll the other I think. I don't have a joystick
I'm using my keyboard and mouse - both Logitech. I aslo seem to be stuck in free-look mode? Gah. Getting sicker...

If ur using a Joystick, make sure its not stuck in one direction, or that it IS calibrated. Check the controls you have set. Make sure none of ur keys are stuck down on your keyboard. I had the same problem on a flight sim, keept barrel rolling. Turned out i had a chip crumb stuck in the joystick...made me move left.

I seem to be able to type okay... I don't think anything is stuck in there... Maybe if I try... banging it on the desk... or my head... Arrrg! Make it stop!

i had this prob in beta. i have some usb flight controllers for my flight sim stuff which i dont wanna use for jtl atm.
the solution: go to the ship kybd mapping scn (ctrl+o -> [controls] -> [keymap] -> [ship]); clr the control bindings for roll, pitch, and yaw that have joystick input. this wil stop the uncontrolled rolling.
if u plan to use a jystk, then config it to ur liking. i have not set up for jystk cuz i dont have a usb one, and didnt see anyway to select which game controller i prefer. it seems jtl concludes that u MUST want to use the usb over analog, so it selects that for u - either that, or it just binds to the first device it likes or comes across.
