Thread: Should (SP) Master Ships have more mass?
Too many parts and not enough mass for SP ships.
Too much mass and not enoug parts for MP ships.
MP Ships should have dual ships, dual capacitors, dual armor for front and back and dual weapons.

With the proper mix of RE'd parts, componets balance planning, give and takes, and special equipment, you can make a very deadly fighter ship.
What i did is find and RE a very special lvl 4 cap with 1300/44 recharge. A booster RE of lvl 3 for 1500/48 recharge (who needs a booster, when you're built to destroy, not run away...). The Legacy engine, lvl 6 inferno, and i had plenty of mass for experimental lvl 9-10 weapons (3 of them)!
It's almost another game to find the right balance!

I see the Pros and Cons to the amount of Mass availible. I really like the idea of multiple capacitors, engines, weapons and such on the MP ships, heck, they have the Mass for them. If the only thing was that the capacitors would have to match or something, not matching serial numbers, but matching names like MARK IV and so on.
However, for the Master SP ships, having only a 20k or so Mass increase isnt much. True, with the right balance and organization of parts, you can make a deadly ship, but I feel that Master Ships should be up well and above the rest, we earned it. Just imagine what kind of ship you could create with 1mil mass on it. Now that would be worth the effort.
Maybe the problem lies in that the good parts are in short supply due to having to rely on looted (luck of the draw) parts. I will talk with my local shipwrights tonight to see what my options are. Although from what I understading so far, is that level 8 parts that you can loot tend to be superior to level 9 and 10 parts that players can make. If this is true, then this is where changes need to happen.
Of course, none of those parts are RE'd... so maybe I should try that.
