im pretty sure your mistakin about one of the mon cal cruisers being called the medical frigate, as well, clearly a mon cal cruiser is not a frigate =P also, i have the EGTV&V and i see no mention of one of the cal cruisers ever being called the medical frigate, also in the GCN rogue squad game (the first one, i forgot what it is called) they are constantly calling the neb-b the medical frigate. i reamember in the battle of endor mission, i was always getting the neb-b blown up and wedge was always saying, protect that medical frigate >.<

you sir, are incorrect. the medical frigate in RotJ was in fact a mon cal cruiser.
and um, whoever said that mon cals hadnt been invented yet... well they had. the thing is, the rebel alliance wasnt using them yet. the Mon Cal themselves were not using them for military purposes. The Mon Cal cruisers, were existing cruisers that were outfitted for military duty when Mon Calamari joined the rebel alliance.
BTW... can you imagine running around inside a corellian corvette? you would spend 5 minutes just getting to one part of your ship and another 5 minutes gettin back to pilot it. it would be rediculous, and i dont think all that fun.

and i quote the Essential Guide To Vehicles And Vessels:
"Notable Mon Cal ships include the round, blimp-shaped Headquarters Frigate (also known as Home One) and the winged Medical Frigate."
theres my source ![]()
w-t-f, the mon cal? dood mon cals were slightly smaller than ISD's. if SOE did them no bigger than gunships then they need pimpslapped

I tend to agree that the Medical Frigate was in fact the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate seen in the film, though why you'd bring an under armed support ship into battle is beyond me.
One thing is though that they did call Home One, which according to sources is large enough to be classed as a battleship!!, the Headquarters "frigate". If you doubt the clasification remember the Rebels knew they'd have to face at least one Super Star Destroyer, Han and Leia were not surprised to see the Executor at Endor so they must have had enough firepower in their fleet to hold the small defence force as well as attack the Death Star, it's only when an entire fleet appears are they in serious trouble.
At this time frame most if not all Mon Calamari Cruisers would appear as luxury star liners, massive colony ships etc, they were civilian ships later mounted with weapons, shields and hangers and used as warships.

I've blasted some of those ovoid lookin cruisers in Vader's final mission of the Eta-actis quest. They weren't any bigger than the rebel gunboat, but the model is in-game.
Those are Gallofree light transports, ovoid yes, but not at all what people are talking about here.
