Who gets to make these things, and are these things actually called turrets ? Cant find them on any sites I'm looking at . A while ago in beta a friend told me Architects got to make them .

I believe architects who have joined one of the factions (Imperial or Rebel) can make them only on the batlefields.


I'm not totally sure of this, as I have not joined a faction (I wouldn't last too long with 300 health).

Turrets are Faction buildings that you're supposed to be able to make on battlefields only, however I have not seen any faction schematics offered for Turrets. But, I'm only a Lance Corporal, maybe if you get a higher rank more faction schematics will become available?


But I've yet to visit a Battlefield, so I could be wrong about its availability

In the manual it talks about architects and battlefield structures. Like everyone else I have seen zero about this. I am guessing/hoping that when player cities come out turrets might be in there. It would be nice to have turrets around your player city to fend off unwanted factions and PAs.

Perhaps this belongs in the GCW forum, but I assume commandos are the ones supposed to destroy turrets on factional bases.


Is there a tactic I don't know of besides run to just barely in range, fire, run out of the turrets range, heal, and repeat until my mind is gone?



Whats the most effective way to take these things down?

Go in a group, Single1 or 2, cone 1 or 2, pray. drop back whil buddies get incapped, RL or HPBC the turret....Oh and Pray again.....


Seriously, it is a ball being Commando, I left, now am back...It is the funnest profession in my opinion to play.. ESPECIALLY IF THE rumored 2.5x mod is Shazzbot.

Ahhhh Shazzbot! Now that is a word I have not heard in a VERY long time. Glad to see someone else still uses it now and again.

Hearing Shazbot reminds me of tribes, not to get off topic, but what do you think of a grenade launcher to increase the range and damage of all grenades?

youre gonna take hits regardless if youre gonna hit a turret. Buy rocketlaunchers and just blow em up.

I need advice. I have a Forward Outpost and I want to get turrets to help defend it. I know I'm going to get large turrets for it but what kind of turrets should I get? Block or Tower?

'm not sure if they are working right, but Block is supposed to be anti-vehical(blast damage), Dish is anti-personel(not sure what type of damage) and tower is general(I think its energy damage). I also believe that tower comes with mines, dish comes with covert scanner and block I think comes with another type of mines.
