Since MP ships are basicly flying houses with guns, they still decay from damage (the main chassis). What happens when it reaches 0 and you still have stuff in it? I dont think the MP ships main chassis should decay like other ships (components fine). besides its not like they are cheap to replace.
I think a better way would to have a set maintenance rate like houses and ground structures, and maybe power usage.

Got to agree, you didn't see Han chuck his ship when most of his components were failing did ya??

Technically, I don't think it can reach 0. Since the decay is a % of the current value, it can never go down to 0 (just very, very close). Though, the question is: How do JTL/SWG handle the chassis when it goes down to 0,000001 or so?

I also think that MP ships need a break on the chassis. They are huge targets with two gunners and it can be more difficult to hit anything inless you have a very cohesive unit of players. This being said, MP ships may end up back at the Repair Station more than others. Plus they cost WAY too much if you have to replace them.

i don't understand why you have to replace them anyway, isn't a brand new chassis succeptible to basically 1 blaster hit anyway? i've never heard a good explanation of what happens when components (aside from shields, of course) reach 0. it seems my shields aren't any less effective with low HP, it seems my guns do the same amount of damage and my engine goes just as fast. i understand i'm toast if i lose my shields/armor, but i'd probably be toast anyway right?

The chassis HP dont really make much difference on fighters because once your shield and armor are gone your pretty much dead anyway.
But the MP ships rely really heavily on the chassis taking a pounding with people running round inside repairing stuff. It kinda makes them a waste of time if after a few deaths/repairs you have have to stip out all your stuff (75 items), delete it and get a whole new one for a couple of million for it not to insta-die after the armor/shield is out. A fixed credit maintenence like a house and NO chassis decay seems the only sensible way.

Chassis decay stops when your chassis reaches10.0 and doesn't go any lower than that, no matter how often you repair it.I just tested it with my old Dunelizard Chassis.
This means you can always launch a ship, the chassis will never be completely destroyed and unusable.
I like this solution, that way you can always access your multipassenger ship and the furniture and other decorations you put into it.
Good job, devs!

thats correct and is the same with components .. and i really hope they dont get the idea to change it.... we've made the shipwrights rich enough meanwhile.

Chassis will stop decaying onceit drops below 10. For every 10 points repaired, you lose 1 point, so once the chassis drops below 10, decay stops.
