Thread: Problems with Open Beta Registration/Flash speeder

Ok I'm already in beta but I had preordered already. So I got my open beta disk today, and it states clearly that I must register for jtls open beta to recieve my speeder upon release. I went to the page, and attempted to register but I assume because I am already in beta it is not accepting it nor even giving me the option to use up my beta key. Please will someone from SOE give some details on this? I want to make sure I redeem my speeder I preordered for it more than for the open beta.

Same thing happenend to me,but went to my account and saw an extra button for expansion, i typed my cd key in.That better be the us beta testers before preorder registers it.

same with me, i apparently cant register witrh the new beta key, because im already in beta. so will i not get the speeder? i pre-ordered like two months ago.. im assuming that alont of people will run into this problem and people will complain enough that sooner or later anyone that gets jtl will get the speeder anyway. besides the fact that i really dont need a new speeder, it would just be cool is all.

i have the same road block. wonder if the devs anticipated this problem. Garva, any answers?

And me to the list. I have 2 accounts, one in beta already. My second account registered fine but the one that is already in beta skips passed the key code part. (and yes I do have 2 preorder disks)
Had another problem too. On my second account that is not in beta. The first disk I tried to input the code and it came up as invalid key number. Double checked the number and it was right. So I tried the second disk and that one worked. Did I get a bad disk or something?

I was just wondering about this. Just got a beta invite in my email and used the reg key that came in the email. I should be getting my preorder disk tomorrow or the next day. I hope we can get a definitive answer, i'd hate to lose out on my flash speeder because i used this key instead of the one on the disk.

Ok I just went into my Account on the launchpad clicked edit my acount then register expansion, input the code from the other disk, and it said registration successful. What worries me is that it says nothing about the speeder, beta, or anything like that. It read as if you inputed the code key from the full expansion.

With regards to people who are under 18 or who have already been accepted to beta and want thier flash speeders. There is a reply by Tiggs that reads:
We are working on correcting this and will let you know the procedure as soon as it is completed.

How do you get the pre-order to get flash speeder?... i have pre-ordered the full game from GAME in the UK but they dident mention anything about getting a flash speeder... and dont have a release date other than november 2004 please help?

Same thing happened to me. Already in beta and when I tried to reg my pre-order disk it wont give me a chance to since Im already in it. I guess Ill try the thingy through launchpad. It is really lame that they didnt see this one coming.
Also whats the pt of the cd? Im sorry but all they put on it was the beta launcher. Its like 1.5 mb. Who the heck needs a cd for that? But nooo they couldnt put the latest beta build on it cuz that would be too good of idea for those of us who are on dial up...

It's a good thing you aren't bitter or sarcastic or any valid points would be obscured by immediately putting off those this would be addressed to.

Bite me. They dont care what I say since I paid for the game and pay the monthly bill. They should have put a disclaimer for dial up users telling them that there would not be anything other than the launcher on the beta cd.
Oh and not to mention any functional company could have seen this problem coming a mile away and had a step in place b4 sending out the cds. I have every damn right to be ticked off because of this poor service.

SOE has said that the offer is only if pre-ordering from EB Games or Gamestop. I'd have to assume that GAME does not have that offer and you'd have to order from either EB Games or Gamestop to get the specials.
