everyone is concerned about the price of ships and such, and definitly the first few days shipwrights are gonna charge out the bajeezes cxause everyone wants a spaceship. so for the first week dont buy any ships!!!!!!!! i know for all you hardcore PvPers out there its gonna drive you insane, but i dont think a ship should cost more then say 500k, so keep your shipwright buddies in check!!!

WRONG!! There will be some ships that are going to be much more than 500k, but they will be special ordered. NO ONE is going to need a high end ship for at least a week. Personally I would not pay more than 15-20k for your first ship (besides the free starter)

BTW trying to control a market you have no involvement in is silly, and it will not work. SW will set prices here don't make SW another architect fiasco

the starting level ships take at least 30k of resources to build. there is no way your going to get it for 15-20k with all the components and everything especially since its a crafting proffesion where resources matter. a whole suit of armor cost around 300k. and starting ships arent the equivalent of bone armor

When u join rebels or Imps you get a free z-95 or Tie so it snot too bad...

Everything is hande crafted - only subcomponents will be factory produced. When you have that high of demand coupled with low production rates they will be high but not unreasonable.

The starter ships take 5k in resource to build. If you want componants then you have to buy them seperately. I would get your free ship and start blasting everything in space and you will get all of the parts you need, this way you can save some cash for better parts down the road.

all i'm trying to say is jsut let the market buzz pass for a few dyas beofre you really start buying stuff so the market isnt still insane, cause if the shipwrights can get away with selling ships for 1million they will, and everyone else who is not filthy rich is going to be $%^& out of luck.

I'm sure things will be crazy in the next few days as people start running space missions like mad -- you can move up from the noob ship quite quickly and get more advanced, customizable ship certifications. As this happens, people are going to want bells and whistles, and the prices will be nuts for a few days or weeks. But, just like mounts and vehicles, the prices will come down to the world of the reasonable. Also, you can get a LOT done with the freebie noob ships -- they're just not as much fun!

plus it takes a good 30-40 minutes to make a ship hull and teh reactor, capacitory, booster, shields, armor, weapons and what not so you have to incorporate time in your cost. but i wouldnt pay or charge more then 500k for you starting level ships only once you reach the heavy fighters should you see an increase in price. anyone that charges 2 mil per ship is insane

You can't upgrade the free ships, but when you get the Player crafter starter ship you can use the parts in them. the starter ships take 2k in steel, 1k in ore, 1k in inert chem and 1k in aluminium.

pft. Fine, whatever.

You do understand that ships will be expensive because:

1. They require HUGE amounts of resources

2. The resources need to be GOOD

Expect to pay 10cpu or more. Or stay on the ground.
