Yup looks like a (joystick)driver problem, there may be alternate drivers you can try or if it has been a few years you could upgrade to a saibek(sp) they are realy nice controlers and I haven't heard of this problem with them.

i have that problem too, and i know its not video drivers because it was fine when i was pilot before, i changed from private to rebel so im starting again, now i cant hit anything cuz of this bug.

its like the ships you are fighting are on drugs, move very fast and eratic all over the screen.

All other ships are fine, and flying with friends is fine, but trying to shoot down npc ships is impossible

Thought this was linked to either a motherboard bus setting or certain logitech joysticks. Repost this in the professions->pilot forum. Much more people with JTL knowledge there.

Welcome to the world of lag.

Sure, your ping might be sub-50, and your packet loss at 0%, but there's still server/client lag on occasion.

Turn down all the space-related graphics options you can. Turn nebula details all the way down. Turn off the cockpit frame and play in 1st person view. Put /flushGraphicsResources in a macro and put it on the hotbar so that you can click it when you need to.

That's what I do, and even with a cable modem, playing at off-peak times, I still occasionally get very brief periods of exactly the kind of thing you describe.

i dont think this is a lag issue, others have said it is to do with the logitect joysticks???

I get the same problem and I can tell you for a fact it aint lag, makes the targets move verys fast/eratic around the screen.

What I dont understand is it was fine when i played before, re-instaled my joystick today and its like this so I might agree its something to do with the joystick. No idea how to fix it tho.

Ah, yes, I have a Logitech Wingman Force 3D.

hmmmm....

Yes, the targets move very fast, almost warp/jerk around the screen, making it impossible to hit them.
