As you can forget that SOE will come with an apology of their major Distribution Screw Up (sorry can't say it on other words)!!
As you can forget that SOE will give you any compensation for this!!
SOE Customer Serviceblames the EU Distributers and when contacting EU Distributers they blame SOE / Lucas Arts for not shipping JTL to Europe at the moment and in time!!!
SO HERE IS THE DEAL AND A GOOD SUGGESTION IN MY OPPINION:
Unfortunately there are already many US Players on the European servers...but this will at least keep the damage a bit limited and not letting it getting completely out of hand!!
-Block NEW US Players from creating an account on the European Servers until JTL is actualy received / registered by the European Players!
-Block Existing US Players from transfering their account / creating an account to / on the European Servers!
As you can bet on it the European servers will get flooded within these days by US Players wanting to (abuse)(take) their advantage of getting JTL in time and so destroying the gameplay and economy chances towards the European Players who have to wait 1 or even 2 more weeks before getting JTL!!
No Offence to the US Players.....just put yourself in our shoes and think about it! Also..as you know the game good enough than you knowI'm right about this and that there are enough US people around who want to take advantage on this!!

Guillero,
I find it highly unlikey that any US player would all of a sudden jump to a european server and start a new toon. They would be starting from scratch, not have any resources, credits or skills? Wow, they could maybe get ahead in pilot by a few days.....
I don't think it is unreasonable to ask them to not push JTL to live until next week, but I think your fears for the most part are unfounded.

Yes. US people will be master shipwright before the Euro's even get the game, thus having the huge advantage of scoring major cash.
Then again, let's hold on to the thought that US people need a few days extra to understand the expansion shall we

Bleumink,
US players already on the server will be at an advantage, and that is why I think it is reasonable to ask them to hold off on the Euro servers by a few days.
However, Guillero posted about people to the Euro servers, I just don't see that happening.

Now thats a better arguement however, to punish people because of a crappy distribution timetable.. Is bad fiscal planning if you get my point. You could make the same argument to block powergamers and let casual players catch up.. See the situation?

They don't have to create a new account!
With SOE new nice money making feature calling "Account Transfer Service" ....there are enough players around who like to pay $25 to transfer their accounts to a European server.....use it to grind Master Shipwreight fast and have fully stocked vendors by the time European players registering their JTL and start looking for new ships and parts!!
And when they made huge credits and easy grind their JTL professions (Not much competition in Space..so thats easy making XP) they can transfer their accounts back to their favorite server!!
And then you have the players who already wanted to create a new account for Pilot / Shipwreight!! Easy to start on an European server...take the huge advantages and when done transfer their accounts to their favorite server ...or just stay there!!
There are enough players with a FAT bank account in real life who don't care to spend some dollars more or less!!

Guillero,
Read the fine print: When you transer characters you don't get to take any items or cash with you.
Ok, I could transfer over a TKM and go grind missions I suppose, but why bother?
It is a game, and folks will be getting there copies at different times. I pre-ordered and won't have my disks till tomorrow, and some folks who have connections at stores have their copies now. So I am 24 hours behind, too bad for me.

A whole 24 hours while we have to wait 1-2 weeks. Although I understand the point you're trying to make.
I personally don't really mind, I have other games/things to entertain me, and I wasn't planning on being shipwright anyway and master pilot can wait. But those who did want to be shipwright have bad luck as they'll be outcompetited (sp?) by master shipwrights unless they're doing something REALLY cool.
