I do not know if this question has already been addressed but I will ask anyways. Capital ships in JTL will they be pilotable, such as the Nebulon Frigate, Star Destroyer, and Corellian Corvette? Also if anyone has any info on the next SWG expansion PLEASE POST!!

in case there was any misunderstanding I meant are they already pilotable or are there plans to enable that.

yeah thats what I thinking as well, i heard rumors that the devs were announcing EX2 soon so im just wondering if anyone had any insider info

I doubt we get them....
.... but devs, we _really_ need orbital bombardment....

This is a question posed in the Shipwright forum, but thought I might bring it up here...
What plans are there for craftable capital ships and if there are some, that ships might it include?
One of my ideas (of which everyone might disagree or might not) is if you do implement Capital ships, that we need to have a multi-Master SW system or a capital ship class system to use them. With the multi-Master Sw, it would be neat to force multiple SW's to get together to build a ship component. Now of course the resource requirements for these ships would be HUGE, but forcing groups to get together to craft them would be cool.
The capital class system, would require several people for a ship to be run, with options for limited NPC manning, and maybe a rank structure involved. I don't know how many people this appeals to, but I love the strategy and tactical thinking involved with a multi-capital ship sized battle. Of course, physics and bandwidth wise, these may not be feasible items, but like I said, just something I was wondering....
Just a thought I had.... do with it what you will.

I honestly wouldn't expect capital ships for atleast 2 publishes...We better have the combat revamp and the GCW revamp before this, many accounts wait on it. I would love capital ships though, I'm sure the devs have it 'somewhat' planned out resource wise but its anyones guess. I would guess into the millions, but maybe this time next year we will see...

I've heard about this before and I think it is a great idea. Make the cost of building this monster really really high. Require at least 20 peeps to man the guns and others running around inside to repair things as they get damanged. Have it go up agains other capital ships. It would be grand.

Ihonestly hope to never see PC crafted and playable Capital ships. Those thingstook years to manufacture and 100s of people to man. Im all up for a good group game but trying to round up a hundred people to jump onto a ship. If they make capital ships that is the biggest mistake i feel they could make. its cheesy and Munchkin in the extreme. it would only satisfy those out for extreme power. Then those people would cry like babies when their Capital ship was destroyed by 2 Bwings or 2 Decimators.
