Imperials have8 ships TIE Advanced, , TIE Aggressor, TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, TIE Oppressor, TIE Fighter, TIE Fighter/in, VT49 Decimator + the firespray

Neutrals have 7 3 Black sun ships and 3 hutt ships and the YT-1300+ firespray

Rebels have 6 shipsX-wing, A-Wing, B-wing, Y-wing, Z-95 headhunter and the Nova Courier + firespray

Now dont say im a rebel because im saying this, im an imperial and i think it would be crap if thats what the imperials were like but will there not be another rebel ship added? just dont take an imperial ship away

I think there are 2 versions of the Y fighter and A wing if i'm not mistaken. We all have the same amout of ships.. just different variations.

Imps have6 versions of the Tie fighter

And Imperials can complain that they can't customize thier ship.

Rebels get two variations of the Y-wing, and while that doesn't quite count as an extra ship, it gives the classic Y-wing some usefulness in higher levels. Also, both variations are two passenger, if I remember correctly.

I think only the standard Y-Wing is a 2-seater. I'm pretty sure the Long Probe only seats 1.

you are playing starwars...

In the battle of yavin it was a bunch of rebel fighters...and their ships were looking abit more than battered by previous battles...

Remeber the spitfire pilots in world war 2 and german pilots...remeber the german airforce how many they had..

Your rebels laddie against an imperial force that simply has more numbers and more technology.

You can't just change starwars lore because you feel abit out numbered by lord.

They are two seperate ships since thay have different chassis. What I mean is you can't upgrade the Y wing to the other variation you need a totally different ship.

Same with the TIE fighter.. you can't upgrade a TIE to a TIE aggessor.

Different ships with different certifications

I guess I should point out that even though Imperials have maybe more ships than rebels, rebels have the better massed ships. The Tie Tie/In and Tie interceptor if i memory servs from beta are only around 50kish while the Y-Wing and Y-Wing longprobe sit at 150k and 170k respectively. You dont get past 50k for Ties unless you take the Tie Bomber and then its only like 80k.

Bomber is 190k mass.

Imperial TIEs are basically different versions of many of the same ships.

Light Duty TIE

TIE Fighter

TIE/In

all look the same except for a small color change in the TIE/In

ok 190k hehe point was though rebel ships hold more. i cant remember after the bomber what the others were. i do know the X wing was 100k and everyone has a 400k ship once master is reached. well less they changed it

That's true but with TIE's you can go lower on the engines and reactors than an X-Wing. Why? TIE's have the turning bonuses so you don't need as much in the area of an engine - granted it may have a slower top speed but a smaller engine in a TIE will outperform a large engine in an X-Wing.

Due to the low number of hardpoints on a TIE, the reactor needed can be smaller. This leaves more room for other things. With an X-Wing, it has 3 weapon hardpoints. Fitting 3 weapons, shields, armor and everything else you end up having to take more corners (lower level stuff) just to get the majority to fit as well as needing a larger engine to make it perform better and a massive reactor to power all of the weapons, etc (not to mentiona huge capacitor)
