I certainly hope that atleast one of the 15 plus ships is a nice, big, ugly frieghter. Imean BIG, slow andnot very manuverable. I'd like it to have a few gun turrets, dorsal and ventral hopefully...maybe a small, under-powered one forbore-sight firing if the turretsarent fireable from the pilots seat.

Isnt that what the merchant guild was controlling, I thought they should large vessels over Courscant and in various other scenes. They were background vessels.

sorry but i could quite easily take out one of the freighters with 4 torps in x-wing, they are hevay only bad thing is that most ships can dodge them but if i was to fire them at you then can't see you getting out of the way fast

Do the torpedos track? If not, my hope is to keep you at a distance so I can have time to manuver out the way...I mean come one,I wont be flying a star destroyer. Im thinking Light Cruiser to Cruiser size, big enough to hurt, manuverable enough to evade a non-tracking torpedo...if they dont track.

Good Idea, but it wouldn't be very safe, especially when flying in all of the space zones, which are fully populated with people who want to nuke you :-p

the speed of the average large ship is abotu 20km per waht ever according to x-wing i followed enough, and no they don't track i don't think but i don't think you can out manuver enough to miss one i will make sure to come and destroy any freighters i see

NPC freighters would be cool for effect, but I don't think piloting one in JTL would be very practical. Most space based missions will be tactical missions. Freighters are slow and unresponsive in turns. Even with turrets, x-wings and tie fighters would eat you up.
