Has your sales in food, weapons, armor decline as a result of JTL going live? I just want to know if I am the only person experecing this. I am curently a chef and my sales took a major drop. I also know a few armosmiths and weapons that have lost some business due to everyone being in space.

Devs can you please add some content for the crafters that cannot sales things in JTL because if this continues it will tear the economy on most servers aparts.

Sales are pretty dead right now, but that will change! Right now lots of people are having fun flying around in space and shooting things. If you like to do that, then go ahead and do that too (if you have the expansion). If not, then relax and do other things you want to do until the craze is over. If you need to make money right now then free up some lots and put some harvesters on steel or ore. They are both going for insane amounts of money right now. Just remember that all of this will pass and things will get back to normal. It just will take a little while for the space craze to die down a little.

Sales? At least you don't have to use over a mil in resources just to grind Shipwright. Quite frankly...for the amount of $ us shipwrights have to put into grinding...we deserve the business!

I have a Master Weaponsmith and not really seeing much of a drop in sales at all. I also have a Master Smuggler/Ship Wright/pilot account and that one is seeing of course brisk sales.

I think you are missing my point. I have nothing against SW. I love JTL and I play it also, but this expasion is only helping that one profession only requesting that it could all other crafters well. yes you do deservce the business and i am not trying to take anything from ,but if the devs could add content for other crafters and just not SW that would be nices as well. Because they way the econemy is setup right now alot of people depending on all crafters to sell. Including me, i have 20 people counting on me to make sales, and they have people working for them. but if everyone single person is getting resoucs for sw and going sw or buying from sw then what about the rest of the game. I am sure the devs don't want to make this another Jedi professions where everyone is doing one thing. So to help the devs should put something in there for chefs, armorsmiths, and weaponsmiths.and BE's

Yes this will happen everytime new content is introduced in the game. That is the nature of SWG.

You are spending all that money because you are trying to grind out shipwright at the same time as everyone else is and paying ridiculous prices for resources (typically over 1200% markup for grinding resources). I expect that the prices for those will go down too. Personally, I decided to buy all of the ore I needed for 6 million (ouch!). I had plenty of aluminum so I have put all of my harvesters on steel and polymer and I have gotten help from friends to use their lots for a few weeks too. I think that by the time I finish my last runs of armor and I am ready to give up armorsmith I should have enough materials to become a master shipwright.

If I just *had* to become a master today, I would expect to spend an enormous amount of money, though.

This is just because it is something new. People have been bored doing the same thing day after day and now they have something else to do. Soon people will get a little bored of going into space and the space expansion will be *part* of what people are doing instead of using up all of their time. I wouldn't worry about shipwrights either. Most people will either not be able to afford all of the materials or they will not have the patience to wait weeks to months to dig all of those resources up themselves. A lot of people will leave the profession too after the money begins to dry up. I expect in the end that shipwrights will be just slightly better off financially than architects (and this is only because ships decay so there is some repeat business).

It's about time the Droid Engineers got some wanted business (flight computers, astromechs, unprogrammed chips).

I got nothing against the WS, AS, Chefs, or anyone else... but they all have a good business. The Droid Engineers got a little something (tho not what it should have been).

Your guys' business will pick back up after everyone has done the whole space thing, and people start settling back down into the ground game. The space game isn't enough to keep people playing only that. It's a new novelty right now that will wear off and you guys will get your regular business back.

yeah i understand what your saying ,but if JTL was a little more involved with the current game it would not be so bad.

It *would* have been nice if shipwrights had to depend on other professions like all other crafting professions do. As a tailor, I kind of hoped that they would make people have to wear flightsuits to pilot, but oh well. Its only a game.

If people had to wear flightsuits to pilot ships then wookiees would be screwed. It's bad enough that pilots get clothing loot that wookiee's can't even wear, but to make it so they can't even pilot?

Regardless, this expansion was about space. It was not about the crafters. Just be patient and the craze will die down. Right now everyone is leveling pilot so shipwrights are in high demand. Once there are more master pilots and less people grinding up pilot shipwrights won't be as needed. It is good that droid engineers are getting business as well. Their astromechs are actually good for something now. Now if they can only get droids that are actually good for combat they'll be set.

Haven't tailors been getting lots of business lately? I see a lot of the new hood-up cloaks around. I see those, orange flightsuits, and Imp tie pilot uniforms everywhere now. Glad I'm a wookiee on my main server now and can't be a clone of everyone around me.

I feel the same way.... I wish they would have intertwined JTL into the ground game more...instead of just lumping it on the side...

I have a master WS and i wish i could atleast make some compents that go into the weapons...make the ion cannons use some blaster power handlers or something like that....some sort of compoent where quality matters. that is what this game is missing...the real need to for crafters to rely on eachother..

WS did not get anything in the expansion....i belive WS and BE are the only 2 crafters that ended up with nothing new.
