Shouldn't we be seeing a GIANT DEATH STAR frame being constructed, those things don't just pring up and we know that it will happen.
and given that the EMPIRE is building a GIANT DEATH STAR there, shouldn't anyone else who flys there get instantly destroyed to keep there secret?
Should a giant shield dish be appearing on the surface of Endor too?
just curious.

Yeah and Luke Skywalker wouldn't be at the Temple of Exar Kun either. He'd be on Tatooine.

It should be somewhere, if you look at the new badges (For Rebels at least) you will see a new one that says "Has destroyed the Death Star"

Yeah...makes you wonder.
Every think about why you can't see the Imperial Star Destroyers hanging over each planet like when you look up from the ground?

At the point in the timeline in which SWG plays, the second deathstar should still be in the Docks of the Maw installation, not on Endor.

Well SWG is set right after Luke destroyed the first Death Star, so i highly doubt it as there wouldn't be concrete plans for a new one yet. Some people would still be finding out about the first being borked.

so time is not moving in SWG? the last 1.25 years has been the same day over and over? The DS2 had to be in production well before the DS1 got ganked, you can't build a ship that big very quick. Should we be moving into the phase where the mains start hiding and Darth starts getting desperate to find them, and the rebel base? Shouldn't production on the DS2 be ramping up and what not?

It can be tough to move an MMORPG through time on a 1-to-1 day basis. Usually, they update timelines with expansions. In fact many people expected the timeline to move into the HOTH timeframe with this expansion.
Could you imagine if there was a day-for-day connection? Since the battle for Hoth lasted about one day, everyone with an account would be logged on that one day to participate. Battle of Hoth (August 24, 2005) if cannot play that day you cannot EVER participate in the battle. Servers would crash so hard and so fast it would be funny.

You can if you're the Galactic Empire with billions of slaves...erhm, I mean employees and an endless supply of resources. Let's not forget just how rushed they were to complete the second death star during ROTJ. The Emperor himself even showed up to oversee the final stages of construction to make sure everything was ready when the rebels decided to try and ambush it. The second death star was obviously an attempt to replace the first one (so it wouldn't have been in production while the first one still existed) as well as regain some of the authority that they lost with the people when the first one was destroyed.
