Why not? My space abilities greatly affect my ground abilities (namely my ability to buy tons of expensive stuff). I love space mining

Nope, thankfully jedi skills have no effect in space.

Have anyone of you had experiece in this? I would like to hear from someone who has aced pilot, and has unlocked force vehicle control and can speak from experience. I know any mention of Jedi/force skills sends people frantic, but all I am concerned with is greater maneuverability in space with force vehicle control. Can someone who is not soo obliviosly biased towards force skills comment?

I was thinking this should affect piloting in some fashion. But since piloting is "twitch" based, possibly just have it allow you to use more sophisticated equipment. IE: a higher level equipment certification for people with the skill, or maybe a bonus to tactics and missile launching skill. Or perhaps some sort of system that simulated Jedi intuition, allowing you to have a chance to move before an opponent fires upon you. It is a well known fact that in the movies, books, and other Star Wars media that the Force affects piloting skills too. I don't know why everyone is freaking out, it WOULD make sense and keep with established Star Wars facts.

Established Star Wars facts are that the Jedi are meant to be extinct.
Established Star Wars facts are that the overpowered Episode Three ships shouldn't surpass more modernised technology such as the A-wing.
Established Star Wars facts are that this game has hardly anything to do with Star Wars anymore.

Keep the Jeteye rubbish out of the space game. It's already made a mockery of the ground.

Space is the one thing in this game that is free of the jedi vermin infestation.

In space we are all equals, no ground template, nor ground profession skills will aid you in any way. In space it is all about your abilitis, YOU the guy behind the computer staring at the monitor banging on a keyboard.. YOUR ablities, not your avatars.

The day that changes, is the day i quit SWG, turn the CDs into drink coasters, and never look at this game ever again.

Because I don't like repeating myself, please use the search tool.

Established Star Wars facts are that the Jedi are meant to be extinct.

Fair enough. But let's face it, they are in game and if we're going to do them, let's at least make an attempt to more accurately protray them in all their glory. And besides, there WERE still force sensitive individuals in the galaxy. IE: Inquisitors, witches of Dathomir, Emperor's Hands, etc.

Established Star Wars facts are that the overpowered Episode Three ships shouldn't surpass more modernised technology such as the A-wing.

Wholeheartedly agree. That wasn't even in my post. Those ships from Episode 3 are aniquities and should be only seen in ship shows...but then again...YT-1300's are just as old. If you've played any of the SW games and read any books or other forms of media or paid careful attention to the movies, apparently technology doesn't progress very much in Star Wars. Just look at Knights of the Old Republic. They practically had the exact same stuff 4,000 years before.

Established Star Wars facts are that this game has hardly anything to do with Star Wars anymore.

I look at it from the perspective that we're playing in the Infinities universe. If you know anything about the EU, then this is the category that things which don't fit into the continuity go. Clearly describes this game, don't you think?

Keep the Jeteye rubbish out of the space game. It's already made a mockery of the ground.

Honestly, how much of a problem would a few extra points of tactics and missile skill be? Really? I'm not even a Jedi, and I only think it would make sense, seeing that these are two skill based abilities in space.

And now, idolatry, to you. I don't regularly post on these forums. I have just come back from a 6 month break from the game. I do NOT keep up with what everyone talks about on here. Way too many posts, and I have too much going on in real life. Don't get on my case simply because I responded to a post made by someone about a subject that has already come up. I saw something I hadn't read before and felt like chiming in my two cents. Your opinion is noted. And it wasn't like I was searching for this topic. (And besides, the stupid search isn't working for me, so don't tell me to use something that's broken.)

That said...good day.

Heh, I probably could have worded that better. I meant, I disagree with any Jedi/character skills affecting a twitch-based game, please see other posts on the issue for more details on the reasons why.

Notto telling you to search on everything before you post

I have FS Vehicle Control on my Jedi. My non-jedi does not. In the same ship, with the same equipment, there is not difference at all. As intended. And I am glad. Last thing we need is to be "roflpwned" in space as well thank you very much.
