Let's find out if it's at all possible, however sleight, to tune a good pearl to perfect stats. I believe statistically, that it might as well be impossible because it would take more than 1,000 pearls tuned at the minimum. Since there is no one person who has tuned 1,000 "good" pearls, we must then rely on only the most exacting reports from multiple players to come up with 1,000.

Please try to be as exact as possible.

Ok Before the thread was Hijacked I counted 2452 Pearls tuned by respondents so far PRE-CU and POST-CU. Now let me go back and see if there were any absolute perfects.

Ok I count approximately 14 PRE-CU pearls that tuned perfect or near enough.

I counted exactly ZERO POST-CU Pearls that tuned NEAR perfect or Perfect.

Near Perfectis calculated by 120 DMG -9.0+ FC. And speedreduction was not accounted for.

So we have

0/2452 Post CU

14/2452 PRE CU

POST-CU Stats Cannot be broken down because no one has posted a perfect tune on a post-cu GOOD pearl. In fact No one has posted a PERFECT tune on ANY GOOD pearl from what I read (If I missed one please point it out).

PRE-CU Players Got an average of 1 PERFECT tune for every 175 pearls/crystals tuned out of all the types of pearls available.

I originally Estimated that you might get a perfect tune for every 1,000 pearls tuned POST-CU, but said it might as well be impossible. As of right now, "impossible" seems to be the key-word for POST-CU tunes on "good" pearls.

I have tuned approx 40 premium pearls pre CU and only got one 110 damage -9 FC. I gave up after that.

tuned 5-60 prems and ovaer 100 less then prems and got around 6-8 as good so i can use them but no perfect the best is 119/119 -9 -0,18

close to 200 tuned pre cu and then re tuned post cu due to bloodfins rollback.

I can see perfect is kind of arbitrary heh....I would take perfect to mean 50/50 -9fc pre cu and 120/120 -9fc post cu.........

Only got 1 perfect tune...50/50 -9fc....... pre cu. and it was from a premium pearl.

the best tune i got post cu was a fair crystal which tuned to around 113/113 -9fc....

I have more then 4 -9fc tunes....and i have more then 4 100+ damage tunes....but no 120/120 -9fc tunes.

the -9fc tunes are in my grinding/pve sabre...the 100+ dmg tunes are in my pvp type sabre.

You can beleive premiums are always gonna tune better then goods....you can beleieve the pearl/crystal already has stats on it when you loot it and tuning just reveals them....you can believe the quality of the crystal/pearl has a "tune cap".......you can believe any theory you want.

In my experience it is totally random, no matter looted pre or post cu, no matter quality....(although a premium and flawless might have a better chance to tune "better" it is probably equivlant to a legendary or exceptional loot drop chance)

Tuned about 250 give or take and only have 4 to be exact (now then not the 9.9 - in force cost but at least 9)

-- the rest are close but not with the now 120/120 -9 stats..

(I still have at least 60 of them in a bag collecting dust)

0 and ive tuned 4 premiums and an unknown amount of Qualities/Goods/Poors/Fairs etc.

This is a great read for all of those who think those that have "perfect" sabers hadpearls/crystals magically appear in their inventory.

Getting enough to make a great saber was time consuming or expensive(and took away from your jedi grind),especialy pre Krayt boom

Nah, it's the perfect post for everyone who thinks you went out and killed four krayts, then had a perfect saber.

I have tuned around 60 or 70 pearls/crystals ranging from poor to flawless and I have never gotten a perfect tune. This includes the 50+ tunes pre-cu.

all pre CU: about 40 prems (none tuned perfect) 100s of sub prem, and 10 flawless (2 perfect as far as dammage/forcecost, speed on one is -.24)

I have tuned 60+ pearls and crystals and have seen 0 perfect and only hade 2 pearls hit cap on one stat (both -9 FC).

on current drops 100 damage is rare ... havent tuned anything over 70 in a long time ... lucky for me I got friends I guess.
