Thread: new AI system is a JOKE

so i went to he NS cave the other day with a friend to check out how the new AI system has changed. They did a lot more force attacks which is understandable. But then i got to the spellweaver and guess what? FORCE FREAKING CHOKED ME!!! I do not understand why on earth a npc would have that powerful of an attack. it was the first thing it did to me and i died within 4 seconds. Keep in mind before this AI stuff i could almost solo the NS cave, granted it took forever but it was possible. So the way i see it the only ppl who could withstand their attacks would be jedi. Now aren't NS supposed to be one of thetypes that drop crystals? If they do then you gotta be a jedi to kill it, but you need their loot to be a better jedi? MAKES ZERO SENSE!
YesI am irritated with SWG, but it seems like this AI change to the system was not thought through at all. I have had other problems with high lvl npcs around as well, way tougher than ever.

darn right i did, but it still doesn't change the fact of the matter that this game is turning into the worst online game in history. I can handle being owned, in fact i laugh at times when it happens cause i'm surprised but the fact is the changes that are being made do not make any sense when there are problems way mroe important.

Me and a jedi friend of mine went through the NS cave a few days ago, and I'm not a jedi. We had small issues going against 4-5 at a time, but nothing truly life threatening. And thats vs 2 Spellweavers, 1 Elder and random Stalkers/Rangers.
So I really dont understand how you had so much trouble.

no maybe it wasn'ta few days then, but it was since pub 24 came out, and I swear they choked the heck out of me. My friend was there and he ran out as soon as he saw choke because before he left that little room i was dead on the floor. also of course becuase lag is such an issue and the timer issue over skills. I couldn't even get a single heal off in time before i died, i hit the spellweaver one time before dieing. In addition to the choke he was hitting me for over 900 damage, that's what it said in combat log at least. I'm not lieing about any of it and none of it is stretched. This was my true experience, and other things that weren't as life threatening have happened against other npcs as well. BTW if thre is question to my template, before pub 24 i was ableto solo tank 5 of the lvl 81 NS on me at once and kill each one of them. This is not my jedi either.

has anyone tried force shield, force absorb, force feedback against these NPC's?

I just say a interview with Kanye West saying that George Bush and Sony hate jedi players...sweet of him to think of us!

Yep, and it works about as well as sticking your tongue out at them or licking them.
The AI is seriously Feked...
I encounted a lvl 85 NS, that apparently had EVERY force skill mastered.
I would love to get the template options of the NPCs.
They were running Aura, had full defender like defenses, thrwoing a lightsaber of some sort, choking me, using high level lightning, force running while doing this, and they get a cool 30K ham.
My jedi couldn't put a dent in the hooker - after 5min of seeing no health going down, I gave up and tried to run.
She snared and rooted me, got away from that, managed to even get force run 2 on to get away, and had a freaking animal agro me and snare me, turned off my force run, NS caught me, and had another few minutes of beating on her, using every trick I had to survive, and then finally was able to get away by keeping her and the creature snareded and rooted.
This is a freaking ant farm. I would so fire the developers that let this go live. I would also find the developers and PR people that hide this information from upper level management.
Anyone high level read this? The project managers, PR people, and developers have kept 99% of the stuff from players from your eyes and ears!!!!

yeah they use ranged force attacks and melee attacks, it may take use of tactics to take them down. Also bug this, they may need a little tweeking since this is new for the publish. Remember when the CU was in testing all the mobs where messed up. Also this game a little too geared for grouping. There needs to be more mid level NPC that are soloable for everyone that drop moreuseable loots instead of worthless trinkets. Also can I recomend you change your title this is a valid point and I would hate to see it get deleted because of the title.

This is utter crap that those skills dont work. I was out killing stalker solo and having no problem. Yes they Force Choke, Saber Throw, Improved Force Lighting and use Aura. BUT, they use Aura at the initial start of the engagement and then never use it again. And with Force Feedback on ( Enhancer skill ) you mitiagate alot of the damageyou take from them and they take damage as well from thier own force attack. I even had to Stalkers on me and yes while it was difficult you can stay alive and win. Keep absorb and reflect up have some stims handy and your fine.

LOL yeah all the NPC's are master Powers now even the one's that are only FS someone dropped the ball there
