Thread: Do force armor and force aura stack
As a rule of thumb, things that alter different stats but have complimentary benefits, will work together.
Force Armor is... well armor.
Force Aura is a a bonus to Light Saber Blocking.
One absorbs or mitigates damage (armor) the other prevents you from being struch (block). The better question would be if Force Armor and Natural Armor stack. Which happens to be, just barely. As Master Defender gives you nearly 60% damage mitigation and there is a hard cap on all armor of 60%. So the force armor would be a negligible increase.

Aura is a simple defense mod, valor is the LS block mod.
Doh. I stand corrected. You are right sir.
In which case they still stack cuz they are different stats.
Again.. Armor
And Defense. Defense changes the damage range of the weapon hitting you based on your defense vs the attackers accuracy.

AND it also has a higher chance to make a shot miss...

Aura is like Center of Being. improved aura gives +500 to defense. Valor adds +25 to lightsaber block.

Yes, they do stack. You can tank CL 82 pickets with Defender 0040 / Enhancer x4xx and you will have about the same performance as a Master Defender (minus about 200 defense), but you will have a small Force cost for every hit you take.
If you have Aura and Armor fired up, you will get hit very rarely, and you will take about 100 damage per hit if you get hit - nothing that cannot be covered by improved infusion unless you have more than 10 on you (and if you have more than 10 on you, think about a way of getting out of their because your Force will be gone in about 60 to 90 seconds from the hits you take with your Force Armor).
well what really should i say... everybody is telling you different things... first off...
improved aura gives you or should i say... suppose to give you +500 to your defenses... but at its current state DOES NOT.... i even tested... with and with out it you get missed about the same....
secondly aura does soak up some damage... but since it was nerfed from when CU first came out... it really doesnt soak up that much anymore...
when you activate force armor and aura it lowers the amount aura soaks up... but still stacks...
anybody who argues with me on this... didnt test like i have i am sure... i do have both... despite what my template says at the bottom... i have gone thru changes in my template to fit the need of SOE's nerfing....
i am just too lazy to change it to what it is now... that template at bottom is what i use to have the minute CU came out... it was kick butt... i was able to take on 5 normal profession people all at once till it got all nerfed to hell.....
